Re: 1940s Groechen IMP trade simulator

No resistance from the compressed air in the piston. No seal, no compression, no resistance.

My wife wasn't resistant to my purchase either, but that was just because she didn't see it until it was already operational again :HaHa:

Re: 1940s Groechen IMP trade simulator

I've got the mechanism working well, but I'm just soaking the seal in the cylinder in oil. There was no resistance when I bought it, so it's well on its way to being operational again.

Re: 1940s Groechen IMP trade simulator

Just picked up a cheap Imp off of ebay. Needs a little work, but everything is there.

I should have mentioned that. Yes, this is for the Erie Digger style cranes. But you guys figured it out. !SMARTY!

Finally found a good source of chain

For anyone that is restoring a digger, you know how hard it is to locate chain that matches what is originally in the machine. Or I'm just really horrible at trying to the correct chain. Even when I talked to Jim Roller, he stated that the closest that he was ever able to find, was a chain that was ...

Re: Gold Mine - Winter project

Great job. Looks a good end result of the effort that you put into it. Those side slots look tough to hit. Do you win more if you hit them?

Re: Digger project

That looks great! The toughest part for me was getting the tray all set to slide into the cabinet. There are notches on each of the four corners to slide the tray in. Once the front corners engage the tray, it's held up and solid. My prize ramp was installed after the tray and just has screws holdin...

Nothing hard to fix there. You could have that looking brand new in no time.

Re: Help with Win a Crunch

Mechanically done. Just needs the glass when it's ready and a layer of finish on the wood once it warms up. It deals out the Kit-Kats perfectly now after a little extra grinding in the corners on the slide.

Re: Help with Win a Crunch

Although the key I made worked, I didn't like the look of it, so I did what anyone else would do. Look for blanks on ebay. I found several Yale blanks that looked like they should work, but I wanted to make sure I didn't get a key that was too small. Of course vendors on ebay never post proper measu...

Re: Help with Win a Crunch

What are the odds that the bar is the same size? That being said, I should go buy a few decades of Kit-Kats, so it works in 25 years for my future grand kids.

Re: Help with Win a Crunch

Or I could just make a new bolt on part that works 100%. The machine itself isn't modified. The old one was unscrewed and the new one gets bolted on in its place. The same linkage is leveraged. The only thing that's left to do is make it foolproof. Kit-Kats have flappy wrappers that pose some cloggi...

Re: Help with Win a Crunch

Now to get the Machine dealing out KitKats, instead of Crunch's. I'm just rebuilding the mechanism from scratch. Never used a candy bar as a dimension before.. :HaHa:

Re: Star Wars stuck

I've got a White Water pinball machine, so I'm familiar with the mechanics of the newer ones.

Have you tried going through the test procedures to confirm that the switches and solenoids are working properly?

Re: Star Wars stuck

welcome aboard! Have you ever raised the playfield? If so, you may have to test out the solenoid that supposed to be kicking the ball out. There could also be something jammed in the outhole preventing it from ejecting. Sometimes pieces of the rubbers get lodged in there. If that's the case then you...
