I’m never sure on dates. Have had that machine in a couple of other products. Also have a slightly later, I would imagine, Lyons Machine. Will try and find a picture

Re: Lyons vending machine
A few years ago I would have bought that Lyons machine myself. Lovely graphics. Glad you managed to get it open.
The Fisholow. I knew that one existed but have never had the pleasure of owning one.
Thank you for thinking of me…

Re: Penny Machine Hire for Film
I have a fair few vending machines from that era that you might be interested in. Most of them having spent time on a platform or wall during that period. If you post an email address I’ll get in touch with you with photos etc. thanks Dave

I think it had confectionery written on the sides. Large lettering filling sides and stopping just off the handle.

Re: Rare vending machine Boomerang and Rolo
I did have one a few years ago. I’ll have a look and see if I can find a picture of it. With the window I think it probably was a generic machine for tubes of sweets.

Re: Rare vending machine Boomerang and Rolo
A nice bunch of machines. Fisholows are my favourites. The only time I ever found product in a machine was a Wrigleys Fisholow.
Never seen a Boomerang one before. I guess the same machine as the Beechnut but with different graphics.

Re: YZ Gum vendors
I love these little machines. Smaller than the average vendor and with an ingenious mechanism which allows the product to be vended from the two columns. One after each other.
I think the few I’ve had have all been Wrigley.
You have two lovely machines.

Re: Academics on the rise and future of vintage arcades in contemporary seaside resorts
I still don’t think you are reading my post correctly. I apologise if I haven’t got it across properly. There was only an amendment to my second post. I felt it was too rude. I’m in agreement with you about Betfred and other gaming companies. You can’t watch the telly or listen to the radio without ...

Re: Academics on the rise and future of vintage arcades in contemporary seaside resorts
You miss my point completely. Not the owner trying to earn a living but the punter. Of course the operator’s motivation is to grab as money as possible. However, Drug dealers have lifestyles and families to support too but we don’t tolerate them. Gambling is addictive in the same way as drugs are. T...

Re: Academics on the rise and future of vintage arcades in contemporary seaside resorts
Am I the only one here that thinks the demise of inland Arcades was a good thing. As I recall they were full of people who could ill afford to gamble in the first place. I understand Seaside Arcades from a nostalgic viewpoint but again, a recent visit to one on holiday this year only went to reinfor...

Re: Nestle Vendor lock
Tree frog nailed it. They are not offset so readily available. You may need to put a washer on the inside so the lock slips down into the vending mech. You may have to slightly adapt the screw holes too.

Re: Wrigleys pk vintage vending machine
Oh dear. I did intend to bid on that machine and then forgot all about it. I always ask for extra pictures of all sides top and bottom. I was once a victim of a very similar situation but in my case the bottom of the machine has completely rusted away where it had obviously sat in a pool of water fo...

Just had a look through my old pictures and yes a Newbie mistake at the time. It was one of the first machines I ever restored so I can forgive myself for the minor matter.

HEY... Good Point. I don't know now. Machine long gone. Might have been a dyslexic moment on my part. I have been known to have them.
