Re: Another Riviera question

Thanks for the info. I put on another couple of pics. Hard to get a decent photo. It plays as it should without plugging in. I've not been brave enough to flick the switch yet. I will get 'round to it. It's connected through a big transformer thingy. !PUZZLED! Nice honest machine though.

Another Riviera question

Bought myself a Mini Maxi. Not something I would usually go for but chrome was excellent. It's got a small electric gizmo attached to the mech that I've never seen before. Can anyone shed any light?

Re: Nestle Win a Choc

Hi, I need some advice yet again. Resto well under way and cabinet almost complete, thanks to some expert advice from JOHN (highfield) who sent me very detailed instructions for refurb of the wood. Just had a thought whilst looking through pictures I saved that I might still fashion a new backboard ...

Home-made rotary tools

Just thought I would share this and see if anyone has any other ideas. If like me, you use a rotary tool, well known or otherwise, you will know that accessories for them are fairly expensive. I literally use hundreds of the abrasive wheels for cleaning and polishing parts from resto projects. The w...

Erratic reels

I would imagine this has been answered in the past and I have found a couple of threads asking if a machine acts the same in and out of its casing, but nothing conclusive. I have a machine that, when out of the cabinet, runs perfectly fine yet, back in cabinet, acts strangely, running slowly, someti...

Re: Ever hear of a Manhattan slot machine

Hi TF, I'm not overly concerned about the machine - just trying to understand what's going on with it. I would like to tidy it up so a new award card would be nice but, like I say, the payouts are random and some don't correspond. Also, Mad Money connection on the reel strips - if relevant I could m...

Re: Ever hear of a Manhattan slot machine

Thanks for info. It does appear to be somewhat cobbled together. The only part of the award card that seems original is '2' for a single cherry. Also, it has Alfred Newman on the reel strips. Are these original?
