Re: Elephant House Auctions
I believe the sale was pretty busy... I couldn't attend the sale. With regard to the Le Mans, it may well have been bought by a slot enthusiast, however this sale would have attracted a whole variety of buyers with their own buying requirements, as do all the Elephant auctions and it may, along with...

Re: Aristocrat price record
These two machines I have had a long long time but they went on the same day as I just wouldn't know where to start if they went wrong and their value would probably be a quarter or less of that fully working as now. What badge jingle....? Well, getting back on thread again, perhaps a gold star badg...

Re: Aristocrat price record
The seller of the Aristocrat came up to see me with a mech off a different Aristocrat he has (Clicketyclick). I told him to drop it off in the morning and he could collect on his way back in the afternoon. Anyway, it was done in 5 mins so he was very happy. I just wish I could sort out electromechan...

Re: Mills or Sega - RENO Slot?
I have had a couple of these with the Reno casting on the front. They both had the same thin trim running down the two leading edges of the cabinet. It's the same trim as on your example too. Here's a picture of the last one that I had (someone else has it now). What combination of mechs/topbox artw...

Re: the market
Afternoon Mervyn,
You are not the first to have had difficulty in getting your details sorted in the Market. I am sure one of the moderators will be on shortly to guide you through any problematical areas.

Re: ARISTOCRAT RECORD
Yes TF, it is same machine, and great to see it once again. The first time I saw that machine was with four others on a cold winter morning around 5 am at Leicester Forest East Services. I still have a few examples of these Aristocrat rotary jackpot slots (e.g., Tic Tac Toe, Blue Star, Wild Aces). T...

Re: Sega Bell
Yes TF, very unusual to have that skill stop push button... in that position. I was tempted to say, 'I'll let you know if it's connected to anything'..... but, alas, it's not coming here....

Re: Coventry Auction Sunday 22nd March 2015
Sounds like a lot of events........ chasing chasing...only just achieving... and for not a huge return..... If you were doing this for some charitable cause and the charities benefit because of all the chasing/only just achieving.. then even that's not ideal as only a few doing all the chasing/only ...

Re: Coventry Auction Sunday 22nd March 2015
I noticed there were a number of passed lots in the results, in the Arena. Can someone confirm - if a lot doesn't sell, is there a charge to the seller? If so, is this a fixed fee or percentage of the reserve, or is there no charge, as I may decide to enter a few machines in the auction later in the...

Re: Essex Auction
Thanks TF.
That's the beauty of being able to view prior to the auction of course, something I rarely get the opportunity to do. They did indeed go for a tidy price, even more so taking into account your comments now.....
I see some of the Marshall's auction ephemera being listed on ebay already.

Re: Sega Bell
TF, I have no idea, but I picked up a Copper Sega, with another 12 machines at Tennants many years back and decided I would keep one and that was the Copper Sega missing a few bits including the escalator, (had rolldown). It's now complete but I don't have any pictures since completed. I also bought...
