How is the game 'Hey Presto' played?

My clown catcher tokens are 17.3 mm diameter.

Merry Christmas everybody and thanks to those contributers who have made me chuckle and had a hand in increasing my knowledge of this great hobby.

Without trying to be righteous, I subscribe to the Arena and to Jerry's mag but reckon the site has got to be worth a couple of quid a year to anybody interested in slots.

I would be happy to subscribe to help towards running costs, perhaps there could be a ceiling on the price of the items wanted and for sale (say, £10 or £20) so as not to turn it into anything too serious - rather more a place to help fellow collectors with odd bits and bobs.

Hear hear Slotalot,I think a sales and wanted page would put the finishing touch to an allready excellent site.

A big thanks to everyone concerned for making this year's Coventry auction a special day which I thoroughly enjoyed and came away with three machines. People were friendly and chatty too.

I too have the mystery piece as per busslot. On Melvyn Wright's site it shows a Twelvewin Clock with jackpot function face with 12/24 at the 12 o'clock position and says you get the 24d if both hands are on the 12. This 24d payout, I assume, is the jackpot. The photos don't show any jackpot mech beh...

As an afterthought, what is the payout knob stopper designed to do? Other manufacturers e.g. Wonders, Whales etc. have no such item. Seems to me it just gets in the way of getting a good grip of the payout knob - an example of Bryans over engineering?

There was a Bryans elevenses featured on cash in the attic on BBC1 this morning at 11.30 - the clip is about 31 minutes into the programme. The auction was held in Seaton,Devon. According to the 'expert' it's a catching type of game and the pins above the gallery rotate so as to throw the ball off. ...
