Re: new projects

lol Not much goes past you TF - this was indeed on ebog, local to me though so I contacted the chap. Not much for sale up here. I think it's the shortest distance I ever travelled. I saw the one in the Elephant House Auction Bob - Golden Twelve. The cabinet was not the best. I think done £780 plus c...

Re: new projects

lol No, I could have saved myself a long journey. I bought these on my doorstep. Always the same - wait ages to buy something then, like buses, all come at the same time. I like All Winners too. The Deluxe seems a solid built machine.

New allwin projects

Can anyone shed any light on the age of this Allwin Deluxe. There is also a Wurlitzer stamp on the backboard? A solid enough little machine. I think all they need is lots of TLC. I also bought at same time a Parkers Eleven Wins. It seems OK. Some veneer is missing. Is there any value to this machine...

I'm sure there are places where you can take one of the parts with you and they will match spray to suit.

Re: New way of getting past Ebay rules

Sellers of vintage slots and allwins appear to be using ebay purely as an advertising medium and have no intention of keeping them on them til the end. We see a lot more of these sellers adding their phone numbers on the pretence of asking questions, but usually so they can do a deal! Early years of...

Re: puzzled

BP, I note your machine has metal cogs on the reels. I have no idea about the age of these machines, or what they should be like. I love it though. Mine has plastic cogs, which may be a giveaway as to the age, if anyone can confirm. I will have a closer look at the apron to see if this has indeed be...

Re: puzzled

I've only just bought this and am delighted with it. I've been after one for ages. I tried looking for one with an award but I can't find any info. I've never had one or seen inside, so I have nothing to go on, but even the hole for the award to drop into the cash tray looks original.

Re: puzzled

Thanks for clearing up the window puzzle... Regarding fruits, that was actually the next question. I bought this machine with fruits and award card. It looks pretty authentic. Is it possible that this mech has been changed at some point and is there a way of telling?

Hi marsh1234 - welcome. As with anything, it's worth what someone is willing to pay. Why not check out the Market here and Arena? Also various other past auction prices. This will give you a rough idea of value.

I also think unrestored Keith - get rid of the missus. Should you ever decide to sell, I would think the vast majority would love to get their hands on it in that condition.

chrome plating

I got couple of Jennings machines and was looking to have the top castings and back hoods re-plated. Can anyone recommend any good companies? I have had this done in the past by a company in Yorkshire, but was not overly impressed with the job.
