Re: Temple’s Penny Arcade Trailer Project

I couldn’t agree more Moonriver. These machines were made to bring fun and joy (plus an income). It’s great that I am able to put these pieces of history back to their original use for future generations to enjoy. :-)

Re: Temple’s Penny Arcade Trailer Project

Warwick Victorian evening was a huge success. Seeing the joy on the public's face has made the investment in money and time for this project so rewarding. I have never seen the arcade so popular. I cycled a box of 3000 old pennies in 6 hours with just 10 machines in play. Here are a couple of pictur...

Re: Temple’s Penny Arcade Trailer Project

Looks great! In any event its's an excuse to go out and buy some more machines which is never a bad thing! No excuse needed, already looking for more bandits. I plan to put these on the main sides with lighter allwins on the ends as you have suggested. It’s very much trial and error. I have some gr...

Re: New Sega Copper resto help with payout

So, here’s a funny thing…….whilst researching more about Sega machines I found a link on here and guess what…..a picture of my machine! If anyone knows the person that posted it let me know as I would like to track the machines history.

Re: New Sega Copper resto help with payout

Thanks to Grains for helping me with an escalator glass and the correct award casting for this machine. I have attached some photos of the before and after. The Ali casting had been shot blasted and was very tough in surface. 30 minutes with the sander , sanding sponge with autosol, fine wire wool w...

Re: Temple’s Penny Arcade Trailer Project

Thought I would share a picture of the Arcade all set up ready for a public event on bonfire night. When the crowds arrived both the arcade and the striker game were very popular with lots of nice comments on the organisers facebook page :-) Again, very interesting on which machines took the most pe...

Re: New Sega Copper resto help with payout

The plan is to repaint folks. What you cannot see in the photos is that the entire casting have been blown over with rather a messy can of paint. When I collected it even the handle was sprayed! The inside is very untouched, the metal sides are light blue and the castings and bonnet bonnet are still...

Yes I think it is an original and it works perfectly after a good clean. Here are a couple of pics. Let me know what you think.

Re: New Sega Copper resto help with payout

The escalator was just full of crap and grease. I have stripped it down, cleaned, polished and replaced. All working as it should now.

The reward card has come up well, just need to repaint the symbols. I guess the yellow hand written number on the reverse is an original part number.

Re: New Sega Copper resto Help with payout

All good now, coin slides removed, cleaned and reassembled. As I am not familiar with Sega mecs I assumed (wrongly) that there were a couple of springs missing on hooks.

This is also my first escalator so having a tinker with that now.

New Sega Copper resto help with payout

Hi Guys, Picked up a Sega Copper today. It’s the first 20 stop machine I have owned, all my others are old Mills. Can someone advise what is missing in the pictures please. It’s not paying out and I am sure there is a spring or something not where it should be. If you have a picture of your mech tha...

Re: Temple’s Penny Arcade Trailer Project

Wedding entertainment has always been part of my living. I know it sounds hard to believe that the start of matrimonial bless can include booking a Punch and Judy show but people do book one 😂 More recently (pre COVID) there has been a resurgence of retro, vintage and themed wedding packages. Friend...

I used these about 3 years ago for hubcap rechroming. They said 3 months, then lost them, then found them, before doubling original quote. Got them back after 6 months and within a further 6 months they started to rust 😢

Re-chromed shiny bits

Topic moved & merged - Site Admin.

Finally bit the bullet and sent a couple of bits to the Platers. Very pleased with the results, nickel then chrome plated.

Received back today and fitted to the Mills and Payramid, just got the red paint to drop on now 😀
