Hopefully this doesn't make any of you cringe... This cabinet was so out of square and I'll say this; the maker of this machine was in no way a cabinet maker. The sides were different lengths, a groove was missing on one side to make the back line up nicely. The gap at the door was so wide, the lock...

I removed the backflash as it was so warped and cleaned up the playfield an all of the parts. The backflash is much nicer with the layer of dirt removed. I may have to put a layer of plexiglass on it as Gameswat suggested.

Does anyone have a key from an Oliver Whales lock? I'm just curious as to what it looks like. The locks are extremely simple with only two tumblers and the key acting like a cam. If I can find the lock I disassembled, I'll take a picture of it. My shop is a disaster....

Found it:

The Kit-Kats are too thick. I could cut the mechanism to make them fit, but the slide is too thin as well. Building a new one will be a fun task.



Side note: These are the balls that came in the machine. They have designs on them. Does this mean anything to anyone?

The kids have been playing it non stop. Of course they're using my quarters and not their own. I may carve a Marquee for it and add in some lights. It gets quite dark in there. Is it okay to have an attractive mode on a machine from the '60s?
