I was hoping someone out there does repairs on vintage electro mechanical machines. Mine is a Jamiesons Skill Poker machine. I have previously posted on here before about it, and would love to get her working properly. Thanks.

It's more recent than the Jamieson's machines I have, but the basic principles will be the same.
There's a diagram for it in Resources. That, and an AVO, should get it up and running.

I have seen the schematics picture that you posted before (many thanks for doing that) but I have no experience in electronics. I don't even know what AVO stands for. The machine seems to be complete and is not far away from working,. I would rather put the machine in the hands of people who know what they are doing, instead of risking electrocuting myself.

Not something you can find in Yellow Pages.
There are professionals who restore pinball machines, although they tend to be in the US. A juke-box specialist, like Eddie Beyst, might be able to help. At least he would know what you are talking about.
(Those aren't my diagrams, by the way. I just happened to know they were there).

Think I might take an electronics course at college, or at least buy a multi meter. I think you are right though, somebody who understands pinball machines would be my best bet. I have seen clips on youtube of a similar bingo machine that somebody is demonstrating how the machine works. He is with somebody who seems to be the one that got the machine working, so might try getting in touch with them.

I know it sounds obvious, but don't forget to unplug from the mains when using your multi meter.

I honestly didn't know you checked the electrics using the multimeter with the power off Larry, you may just have saved my life

You test with the multimeter with the mains ON or OFF depending what you are testing for.
If you are testing the 12 volt DC supply with the mains OFF, it will always read 0 volts, even when it is in working order.
Buying a multimeter, and learning how to use it, is very useful. It should be taught at school, along with a lot more useful skills currently not in the curriculum.
