Just a quick 'Hi' from Lincolnshire
Just a quick 'Hi' from Lincolnshire
Hi everyone. I'm pleased to find this fantastic site and forum
As I hit the unbelievable '70', (of course, only 10 in dog years) I came across an Aristocrat Sheerline just like the ones in the bingo hall I worked in during the early to mid 1960's. It has a serial number of KAEE-157 and on the bottom of the mech. plate it states 'Ainsworth Dental Co.' Mech works well although rather dusty. Case needs a minimal amount of TCL apart from the missing 'Aristocrat' badge, so I'll have to go on the hunt. If anyone would like to see a photo, I'll post an image.
I'm really looking forward to exploring this site.
What is the 'Arena' you can join?

Hi dustym ……
Welcome to the site and congratulations on your Sheerline.
As you say Aristocrat are an Australian company that at one time were principally a manufacturer of dental machinery.
Please post photos, we love photos.
The Arena is full of interesting articles and information, well worth the few quid.
Hitting 70 is only a number, so long as none of them were seriously hurt of course.

Re: Just a quick 'Hi' from Lincolnshire
Hi everyone - sorry for the slight delay...
as you can see, I'm in the market for an 'Aristocrat' front badge and a replacement front coin tube for the innards
other than that, it seems to work well. I've not 'won' the jackpot yet though!
I assume it's OK (as a newbie) to place a couple of requests for the bits on the 'wanted' page ?
Here are a couple of photos, just to make you smile (but not as much as me)

Of course - it's open to all and sundry!
That's an exceptionally smart Sheerline you have there.
