Post by jukeboxjury »

Hello,

Anyone got a Decal for my BMC restoration project please.
I have taken a picture of the old one.

Thank you in advance

This shouldn't be hard to make a new one,can we have a more detailed photo and closer up, is it simply a decal you want?

Try locking your camera off perpendicular to the subject.

They're actually individual labels, with a semi-translucent print on silver foil - not easy to replicate.

If I can get better individual photos I'd like to have a go, jc is right, not easy, but the translucent print should be doable with the new specialist print media and I have some ideas about how to produce the background, might not work, but might

Somewhere on here is a thread from a number of years ago and I am sure someone shared some images. Also these decals use to come up regularly at the coinop auctions

Now there is a surprising coincidence  No lost one's though and a bit pricey, should be at least half that or more dirtdog

It never ceases to amuse me how straight after someone says they want something it appears on eBay.

It must be the flux of the earth that generates these coincidences, otherwise they'd at least support the forum by shoving it on The Market instead of paying money to put it on eBay ..... wouldn't they? :!?!:

I have had a few items for sale in The Market Badpenny and have never sold anything or even had a reply , so I personally gave up on that idea !

I don't get what you mean Badpenny, The market is not just for Items that someone has actually asked for, Also If someone was asking for decals the E Bay ones are not just aimed for that person, A lot of fuss about nothing in my opinion

Well done for locating those Gameswat! Vaguely remembered something about these, but could not find. Will put 'em in Resources.

Jukeboxjury - as I mentioned to you when we spoke on the phone, the standard BMCo win-lose labels are plainer. I took a peek at my machine today and it has two lose and five coin returns in dark print over yellow discs. I'll try to get a picture tomorrow.

This is the gallery on a BMCo Playball - very simple "Coin Return" labels printed on yellow plastic and blank red plastic for the losers.

BMCoPlayballGallery.jpg

I've put a scan of it in Resources, together with the Saxony Win Lose decals.

Thank you to everybody for their suggestions. Some were far too technical for a technophobe like me.

I took the easy way out and copied the pictures of Gameswat and then cropped them in Microsoft Paint, played about with the sizes and printed them off on stiff card. They look good on my fully restored machine.
