Any chance of a view under or from the lower front of the slide mech? Mine has two pivoting arms that cradle the coin until the mech is mostly withdrawn, then one arm moves over further allowing the Penny to drop.

It's a different mechanism. Penny lifts detent allowing drawer to pull out. Ratchet prevents return until fully extended.
