Re: Auto login
Did you log out and in again to test?
What phone OS are you using?
Special - are you also using a Mac?

Re: Auto login
This time it was different, I had to click on login but it skipped my username and password and logged me in.
I'm using android on my phone.

Mine wasn't working for some time, but has been fine for the last couple of weeks. Windows 10.

Re: Auto login
For the past couple or three days whenever I visit the site I'm logged out.
Yet when I click on the "Log In" clicky, it doesn't take me to a different page to do so it just shows my avatar and ID in place, and I'm there.

Re: Auto login
Every time I leave the site and come back I have to login, I've just come to terms with it now

Bob also emailed recently with similar login issues. I'll give it some attention again when I return from my hols in a couple of weeks, but this is proving a hard nut to crack.

Anyone having problems with leaving the site and having to login every time you come back?
Re: Auto login
Working ok here.
I even used another computer and it logged me in.
That I don't understand but it did.

Re: Auto login
OK - I have a theory, and hopefully a solution.
Once upon a time the root URL of this website was
Then it became and then, adopting the cryptographic protocol:
But will also get you here.
Until a few days ago Google was indexing the site under the first (and original) of these URLs.
As of Jan 31, I instructed them to prioritize the https://pennymachines.co.uk/ URL, so this should start predominating in results from that search engine.
I've noticed that some members (not surprisingly) view the site from the old www address. If they then visit a page under the secure URL, they will no longer be logged in. This is because it is no longer possible (for good reason) to set "secure" cookies, handled by SSL (Secure Sockets Layer), over an insecure (e.g. HTTP) URL.
So, assuming this is the issue, the answer is to ensure the root address is https://pennymachines.co.uk/ when you log in and make sure you return to and remain on that root. So you would log in to the forum from here
This may mean updating any short-cuts you click upon to get here.
