Re: The next Coventry Auction
Will those who stay Sat night be once again at the converted mental hospital, otherwise known as "the mystery Fun house", but with a sign outside saying "Travelodge" with no parking, heating or sense of style, situated in a black hole called the city centre (must be a black hole, it's the ONLY place I've ever known that a GPS is too scared to take you to) but is nicely placed close to the night life of Coventry

Re: The next Coventry Auction
I think that, as it is in June, we might go down and come home on the same day I don't mind the drive home on a light night
But whatever happens, we will be there on the day

Hi
I see a lot of threads referring to Coventry auction. I live in Edinburgh - not much happens here Never been to an auction and would love to find out more. Any info greatly appreciated regarding previous results. Can I view auction entries, is there a link to site? Thanks in advance.

Hi polaris, If it's auction results you are after, you might want to join the Arena on this website. It only costs £2.00 per year and is full of auction results and photos going back many years.
Well worth it

Re: coventry auction
Then you must come to Coventry for the auction. After a visit to Coventry, Edinburgh will look like New York. As far as I can see, having the auction in Coventry is like having the NASCAR race in Bristol Tennessee - twice a year the population wakes up for a dayI live in Edinburgh not much happens here

The May magazines were posted Monday, so you should all have received today - with entry forms included. The closing date for entries is Monday 3rd June, so please start filling them in and get them back to me in good time. If anyone has machines or other related items that they would like to enter, who do not subscribe to the magazine (and hence don't have an entry form), there are two things you can do:
1) Subscribe to the magazine http://www.mechanicalmemoriesmagazine.co.uk
2) Contact me via this site, and I'll email you an entry form.
Having spoken to a few regular vendors over the past few weeks, we already have 80+ lots pledged - about half of which are machines, so fingers crossed, our first ever summer event looks like it could be a good'un!
More updates in due course.

Just a reminder that the closing date for entries is 3rd June (that's next Monday), so if you haven't yet filled in and returned your forms, please get them off to me ASAP.
I've started to upload pictures of some of the lots entered so far onto the MMM site:
http://www.mechanicalmemoriesmagazine.c ... 4557541957 - more to be added in due course.
We have a great selection of machines entered so far - more details and updates to come, but in the meantime, take a look at this incredible early cast iron French gaming machine..............you don't see too many of these about, do you?

In the auction on the 23rd, you have an Aristo Kingsway quad reel. Can you tell me what coinage it runs on and also is it on a console or bench-top? Does it run how it should do? Also, is the chrome OK? Thanks

Re: Coventry Auction - Sun 23rd June, 2013
Sorry we can't due to our not being in possession of any of the lots until the morning of the auction when the current owner turns up with it.
If the owner is a member of this forum and sees your query perhaps he/she/they might answer in advance.

Edited to say that after squinting at the photo and enlarging it in MS Paint I see the denomination badge says 20p and it looks to me as if it's sitting on a stand.
However I'm not the owner.
