Hello from Canada
Hello from Canada
Hello from Canada.
New member here with no prior knowledge of these machines but I am mechanically inclined so learning then helping shouldn't be a problem.
The only machine I've owned was a Bally pinball that needed no repairs in the over 30 years I used and abused it prior to selling when I moved.
I just picked up two Gunter Wolff wall mount machines.
A Rotomat Jewel and a Duomat.
Both are working machines.
Both are unlocked but no keys.
Both currently use Canadian nickels but I don't think any parts were changed or altered.
The Rotomat Jewel:
-- The case is complete in fair condition with some chipping top front edge.
-- The plate on the side near the trigger arm is cracked and the top stop broken.
-- The outer metal has been painted a John Deere green.
-- The the first and second wheels always stop on potential winner numbers and the third wheel determines if it gets a payout. (Don't know if this is normal).
The Duomat:
-- The front glass is solid black blackout for the background. (It's a 1959 model so I don't know if this is normal).
-- The payout is always 2 coins if landing on any payout position. ( think this is an adjustment issue but don't want to touch it till I learn more).
-- The arm and outer metal parts need painting.
This post is to say hello and my information post.
Any help or advise questions will be posted in the appropriate area/s at another time.
Will be browsing and wish to thank everyone for allowing me the opportutity.

Re: Hello from Canada
Hello and welcome....some nice machines you have there.....
I am sure once you want to follow up any issues you will get some help, I know the issue on your Duomat is a common problem and as you say is likely to be minor adjustment or grease issue on the payout mechanism. Often it is due to the rod that slots through the payout slides not engaging in the right position...
Share some pictures as well, always good to see....

Re: Hello from Canada
Hi and welcome, you came to the right site,no one does it better than pennymachines.co .uk
You might find it interesting to take a look at these two sites to get a feel for what your machines might have looked like when new,the first is the excellent German site https://automatix-club.de/index.php click on the line under "home" this is their archive ,from there you can click on the first letter of your machine and track it down
The second site is a slot information site run by me and BP from this forum, there is a good (although I say it my self) section on the big German makers and their history.

Welcome again
