Registration for the PennyMachines.co.uk Auction and Market

By registering as a member of PennyMachines.co.uk, you can post messages throughout the Forum, bid and sell in the Auction and advertise in the Market.

Registration is free and is purely to protect these activities from misuse. Please view our Privacy Policy.

The Auction and Market registration is separate to that of the Forum, and for security also requires that you submit your address and telephone number.

Tip: Once you have registered in the Auction/Market, click on Change your password and you can change the auto-allocated Password to match the one you use for the Forum.



PennyMachines.co.uk Auction and Market User Agreement

You must agree to the following terms before you will be able to sell items, or bid on them. If you do not accept these terms, please, do not use our services. Once you click the accept button below, you agree to the terms of the user agreement below.

Article 1. Eligibility of membership: This auction site is only available to people who are legally able to form binding contracts. Any person under the age of 18 is not eligible. If you do not meet these requirements, you are not eligible to use the PennyMachines Auction and Market services.

Article 2. The PennyMachines Auction and Market are online forums which facilitate the buying and selling of vintage coin-operated devices and related items in an auction and classified adverts format: We provide these services to people interested in selling and buying vintage coin-operated devices and related items via the internet. Although we will remove any items that we deem unsuitable, we have no other control over the items that are posted in the PennyMachines Auction and Market, and therefore cannot guarantee the authenticity and quality of any such items. We are not responsible for any typographical errors or misprints, nor any actions that sellers, bidders or buyers take, before, during, and after any sales that take place via these forums, nor any loss of merchandise or money, damage or failure of equipment that may result from visiting and using these forums. Use of this site is at your own risk, and content is presented 'as is'.

Article 3. Bidding and Selling: As a user, you may buy or sell merchandise in the PennyMachines Market and bid, buy and/or sell merchandise in the PennyMachines Auction. By placing a bid in the Auction you make a binding contract between yourself and the seller, and the bid cannot be retracted unless you can demonstrate that there was a substantial descriptive, typographical or similar error on the seller's part. If you place a bid which results in you winning an auction, you will be obliged to buy the item at the price of your winning bid. Placing a bid in the PennyMachines Auction, and winning, but not paying for the item will be treated as a serious offence and will result in cancellation of your account here. As a seller, the item that you place up for bids must be real. Once a bid has exceeded your reserve price, you are placed in a binding contract to sell your item to whoever is the highest bidder at the end of your auction. Failure to do so will be treated as a serious offence and will result in cancellation of your account here. If, your reserve price is not met, you are not obligated in any way to sell the item. As a seller, you are not in any way to bid on your own items. If reported, your auction and account with the PennyMachines Auction and Market will be cancelled at our discretion. You may advertise an item for sale in the Market only if you include the asking price. This (or at your discretion a lower price) is the amount you agree to sell the item for. Advertisements posted that invite offers only, shall be removed without refund of fees. This rule does not apply to "wanted" or "service" adverts.

Article 4. Suitable Sale Items: As a user, you are welcome to put vintage amusement devices and related items up for sale in the Penny Machines Auction and Market. The Auction and Market are not for the sale of unrelated items. In compliance with British Gaming Board regulations, we do not permit the sale of any machines for the purpose of gambling. See British Law and Vintage Coin-Operated Machines. Any items posted in the Auction or Market which might reasonably be judged to be in contravention of these restrictions will be removed without prior notice. If in doubt, please email the Market. All items are subject to review by the staff of PennyMachines.co.uk, and may be removed, if in violation of the User Agreement.

Article 5. Privacy: We gather your information solely to facilitate the bidding, buying and selling functions of the PennyMachines Auction and Market. Personal information remains with us, and is not passed to any other party without your permission. Personal information sent to a user as a result of an item bought or sold in the Auction or Market is not to be used for any other purpose, except for communication with regard to that item. Article 6. Warranty: PennyMachines.co.uk provide this website in an 'as is' condition, without a warranty or condition. PennyMachines.co.uk is not liable for any damages resulting from your visit to or use of the site.
