Re: Mills Poinsettia - found in a skip

:WELCOME:

It looks eminently restorable and in better condition than many we see. Crucially, it appears to be mostly complete, with no visible cracks or breaks in the castings, as far as I can see.

Re: Rotary Merchandiser

It would be cool to see pictures of your Cromputer-Win. !PRAY!!
I haven't seen one in a long time.

PS, I'm sure that fine-looking Merchandiser would have found a new (albeit wide-doored) home by now if it had a sensible asking price. One sold last year for £700.

This topic would be incomplete without mention of the Harvard Automatic Machine Co. Standard Metal-Typer. 21090378_1_med.jpeg s-l400.jpg Randy Senna demonstrates its intricacies and design pitfalls. Even when the aluminium token discs were readily available, these must have been a pig to operate ...

Here's the 1956 International Mutoscope/General Vending Sales Corp./Mike Munves Lord's Prayer medal vendor. (The International Mutoscope moniker is just visible in the video).

Re: Coin-operated penny presses

Considering it's essentially an all mechanical device, it's surprising it took so long to enter the coin-op canon. Since the 1980s - '90s it's become a staple at museums, theme parks and other leisure venues, where the public gather and a cheap souvenir might appeal. They come in a huge variety of ...

Re: Laughing Sailor auctioned off in USA

Can you post the link to the other one? I couldn't see it. There's also this pimped up version in Morphy's sale on the 19th: C: 1950. The Exhibit Supply Co. Chicago. A classic penny arcade attraction of the 1950’s. Deposit your nickel and watch Jolly Jack the sailor laugh and laugh and laugh. Often t ...

The base looks new and wrong: too deep and lacking the two long coach bolts.

This one sold today for £420 plus premium at The Swan Fine Art auction:
