Re: Rotary Merchandiser
And I remember someone had to remove his front door in order to admit an Elephant Gift vendor machine into his house, although I can't remember how chuffed Mrs Slotalot was at the time.... As for the Merchandiser, I can remember when you couldn't give these things away for more than £300. ...

Re: Ebay fees scrapped !!!
One thing though, why does it make a difference if you pay on collection or pay in advance? I'm sure for many, it won't make a difference. Most of the items I buy on ebay are small and arrive in the post (and are usually Buy it Now) - yesterday, I ordered some small brass machine screws, and paid ...

Re: Ebay fees scrapped !!!
It appears to me, from everything I've read on ebay, that at the end of an auction, the buyer is required to pay before the sale is considered to be complete. Therefore, the buyer will not be furnished with the seller's details until he's paid - thus eliminating the option of paying cash on ...

Re: Help identify?
Also the coin hopper, which fits over those four studs sticking up on the payout slide assembly. It is most unlikely that anyone would have a spare (and if they did, probably wouldn't want to part with it) but not too difficult to make. The hardest bit would be finding a small length of brass tube ...

Re: Rola Bola catcher
......The defining feature is the unique payout cup, which resembles (to me) a cast iron fireplace. John Hayward used to have a Merit, which he operated in what became my 'number 2' arcade down in Brighton. I always thought it was too nice to be operated and that the great British public ...

Re: "Rola Bola" allwin catcher
Don't be fooled by the name 'Rola Bola' - those instruction cards don't look very original.
But I do agree that it's probably British, and it is clearly a catcher.

Re: The Wonders List
This is one of the nicer Wonders machines and quite desirable - at least those in oak cases (rather than plywood boxes) and without half the mechanism missing. It is one of the 'banking' type allwins (like Win and Place) where wins can be 'banked' in the hope of getting a higher payout on a ...
