Re: Yay-Hooray-Woo-hoo

Good question, Roger. My best guess is two-fold. First, the puny payouts of the allwins were dwarfed by the better winnings of the slots. Second, slots were invented at the turn of the century and had a strong hold on the US gambling market at the time of the introduction of the allwins. Since Great...

Re: Heading for the Slammer

Roger, Yes, without penance, you surely are headed to Hell. The good news? You can atone for your sins by figuring out how much money you cheated those poor operators out of and sending that sum, adjusted for inflation of course, to me. I will make my best effort to locate the appropriate individual...

Re: PERCIVAL...Where are you ???

Great story, Roger. Keep 'em coming. Goodness Arrgee, you and your brother were righteous little cowboys, wooly chaps and all. I too was a Roy Rogers wannabe back in the day. Now, in my twilight years, I am collecting saddles, chaps and other cowboy memorabilia. I did have a horse for a while, Jack,...

Re: Temple’s Penny Arcade Trailer Project

Well done, lads. These machines bring both entertainment and a sense of community, something that is missing in today's hand-held devices.

Re: Can anyone ID these allwin tokens?

I may be wrong but I think these tokens would have been dispensed from their respective games (Bajazzo being a good example) for exchange according to the number on the token, the "10" being 10 times the value of the "1." The number on the token would correspond to the number sta...

Re: Saleroom roundups

Those were super cheap prices for the BM Co. autopay and the Bajazzo. The auction house descriptions were ignorant to the point of almost criminal. They should pay me a fine consultant fee to get the correct description of the machines. We're looking pretty stupid here, Yanks. J Peterson Yank by bir...

Re: Hot off the wire

Roger, You're fine just as you are. PennyMachines benefits from cross-pollination of British and American interests. From what I can discern, the majority of PennyMachine postings are now focused on slot machines versus the earlier allwins and related collectibles. I think it is a reflection of the ...
