Coventry auction 2007

My thanks to all for organising a really informative and friendly day. Great to meet so many who share the same pattern. Hope by next year the wife is speaking to me. "Bloody hockey game - what on earth do you want with one of them?"

PS i notice some of the buys already on e-bay!

Re. Bradley/Whales: Ballwin, Baby Bradwin, Allwin De Luxe etc.

Thank you very much for your informative response. I have no reason to think its not original, but within the forum you hear of many changes to machines. Like yourself I have never come across one like this and I have looked hard. I do note the drawing pins holding the instructions and have a copied...

Re. Bradley/Whales: Ballwin, Baby Bradwin, Allwin De Luxe etc.

Hi! It is a jackpot probably by Oliver Whales of Redcar. It was one of those they painted in the mid sixties. It is in lovely condition and is my granddaughter's favourite because of the false Jackpot.

Bradley/Whales: Ballwin, Baby Bradwin, Allwin De Luxe etc.

Can anyone tell me a little about the history behind the Ballwin name and is the one in the picture an original?

Hi! I'm not an expert but I know a man who is. There would have been an escalator as you suppose and the front would have had a jackpot. It is clear your machine has been adapted for decimal currency at some time. It is quite easy to fit an escalator and to obtain them on e-bay. I'm not sure about j...

Re: parkers, bryans 11s lookalike

Hi Ray Brian here in Chester. Note you have contact with Brian Parker of Rhyl. Do you think it would be of value to interview the Parker family to record as much information for future nostalgia and history? I think a history of the company however brief would be invaluable. Hope to meet up soon brian
