I can't remember if I tried it. The John Bull was there but was promised to someone else, but looked incomplete.
I did later buy his French Domino, a lovely machine, which he said was the first machine he bought.

I bought the Nicholson out of John's basement. I believe he got it from Roger Gillman when it was advertised in his newsletter in the 1980s. I sold it decades ago, but it looks exactly the same as I remember. It's even got the figure of a character from Ghostbusters which John had placed on the balc...

They look different in colour as I think yours is mahogany and mine is oak. It has the same maker's label as yours.

These were used as gambling machines in the UK. I have some cards left from the batch of these I bought a few decades ago.

I think this is an early Olly Whales. I have one with a similar mech, sort of...

I think he only made three, just for his own amusement.
The Bird Watchers and the Peeping Toms look to be the same machine. Check out the grain of the wood.
