They don’t come up for sale often, but the same machine was sold at Dukes in Dorset yesterday and for £1000 (£1300 with comm) I was intrigued as the same machine sold last year at the elephant for £2750 inc commission, which was a staggering amount given it had damage. It’s funny, the one thing I never seem to be bothered about are cash box doors, maybe because they are a pain and often missing anyway. I suspect others had the same thoughts who chucked them away when trusting their staff of course. Yes as BP says these were supplied by Mills I believe as standard....

Check the nut holding the pivot timing bar has not come loose. It needs to be adjusted to allow enough clearance for the ratchet arm to move through while rocking the timing bar. If loose the arm will skip through quickly

We are talking about the coin or token used here, often different size tokens were used to original coinage. Not saying this the case, but is possible. What is clear is it paid in tokens if award card is correct....
