Re: Aristocrat Arcadian 65 repair & restoration

Yes, but seems a lot of money just for that bit. I would want the whole tray… I know I bought a whole cabinet at a Coventry auction for about £20.

Re: Nic Costa Archive

UK coin-op collectors are lucky to have a guy like Nic Costa. You are right, I have never understood why those with vast knowledge, paperwork and wisdom feel somehow it is their intellectual property and do not share. Once they are gone it is typically lost… Thanks to those few who have done so and ...

Re: Mills Poinsettia identified

I don't believe I've EVER seen a machine, Mills or otherwise, with a ten-stop mech. and just ten fruit symbols of 20-stop size, spaced out with ten GAPS. This is what we seem to be looking at here. Not sure I understood that. As Coppin said, it is very common to see 20 stop strips on a 10 stop mech ...

Re: Ebay fees scrapped !!!

Reading tf comment about paying online only, does that mean that should I win a machine I would have to do online banking [no thanks] ,taking a smart phone with me [which I don't have] and thus completing the deal on the doorstep so to speak? Alternatively pay upfront with debit card as I would ...

Re: Ebay fees scrapped !!!

So one of the most important changes this month is the eradication of cash sales. If you now select collect in person, they have now removed the payment on collection option. Payment for all sales is now online only. Another step towards a cashless society… To be fair I rarely use cash, but o ...

Re: Ebay fees scrapped !!!

Looks to be the case for private sellers from today. I am not surprised as since the announcement of data being sent to HMRC, I have noticed a huge drop off in items listed. I have not listed anything for 18 months, mainly due being screwed by an idiot who claimed they never received something and ...

Re: BDR 'Breadbin' bandit

Maybe I had missed this, but there is a name these bread bin BDR machines had that seems to have been lost: “Fresh Fruit”. An operating manual appeared on eBay the other day. Part of the content was shared. Maybe the new owner will load the whole thing into the Resources. ;-) Still nice to put a nam ...

Re: Triple Crown

Well, cleaned all contacts and put it back together. Wiper 3 still has no movement; wiper 2 now keeps going around, and token still pays every pull. On top of that, once the coin acceptor is triggered it seems to offer free play. :HaHa: I noticed relay 3 and 4 energise as soon as the power is turned ...

Re: Triple Crown

Ah, explains why wiper 5 keeps going 'round and I can see it links to the relays for the other wipers. I have isolated the faulty motor and plugged it into the mains direct and, bugger me, it works. So it is not getting power… One side is connected to the chassis with everything else  and the ...
