Re: Firmans

Nice story and history Jeff. Thanks for sharing and oh, wouldn’t it have been lovely to have seen those old parts left in the store rooms. :o Funny, over the years when family members of old slot machine companies have shared similar stories on here and how little survived like paperwork and picture...

Re: Duo mat clockwork question

You could soak in cleaner product. I have never needed to, and cleaned with white spirit etc... The main cause of clocks sticking is the governor, which you can strip, clean and refit. You can adjust speed with the screw on the end.

Re: vintage fruit machine

Re: Deci King reel spin?

So we are talking about the right parts here - when you say horizontal payout finger, you are talking about the stack of 6 or 5 horizontal ones that each have a spring at the back? If so, and you say it moves away from the slides, but springs back so it locks the slides after a win. First question, ...

Re: Deci King reel spin?

I would first have a look at the thread from a few weeks ago. I added some options to increase the time on the timing bar that controls the slide release lev...

Re: Deci King reel spin?

Not sure I have understood the last point, maybe I need to re-read thread. So when you get a Cherry win, the bottom horizontal lever is moving away from the slides and as such the lower slide pays outs, which sounds corrects or have I missed something !PUZZLED!

Thanks for sharing Claire. Another variant and a lovely example. I love the colour scheme, reminds me of the sort of colours a bus garage would have used. !THUMBS!

Re: Old penny price

Big problem with selling old pennies online is that the shipping cost is so high. When bags of 1200 use to sell, they generally went for between 8p and 12p per coin, but that was the good old days when we had auctions and smaller lots were more expensive .....so 20p seems steep, especially if they a...

Re: Automatic Sports Co. Cricketer at HutchinsonScott

He is right though; a large proportion of early coin op is dull to play. You wonder how operators ever made money. I guess life was much more simple then. :HaHa:
