Re: Super Challenger restoration

I have seen a few and owned at least one of these where the deflection wheel had been removed and replaced with a red covering. I have never found the control on these to be particularly useful anyway......

Re: What Does Your Future Hold machine?

Re: What does your future hold machine?

I was wondering whether it would have been backlit. If so, the image in the round window is probably wrong. I used to automatically check the Elephant House to see if an item had sold there, but it appears this facility has now gone, but I did find the machine here and it did sell at the Elephant fo...

Re: What does your future hold machine?

Errr, answer is no it is not normal. Problem with this machine, there is little to compare against. It reminds me of Bolland cast machines, which do fetch plus a grand sometimes. Never heard of of Woodward, and is not in any guides I have, and looks to be cast aluminium. That is £2300 with commissio...

Re: Mills penny machine - info

I don’t know, but the only reason I saw it was because I went to unanswered posts which I do every few weeks, but it is rare for regular contributors to ignore a new poster post so that it drifts onto the next page. As I say it happened to another a week or so back.....in both cases they were new me...

Anyway, not seen your machine in its exact form, but...

Re: Coventry or Collectors auction

Although my Mechanical Memories arcade is now closed, I shall still be operating machines in Brighton - at my 'Number 2' arcade, where I shall hopefully be able to open on 17th May. It won't be anywhere near as time consuming as previously, but I shall still need to go down to Brighton a couple of ...

Re: Mills clone

Not sure what decals you mean, but the award plate has been modified for the change to the 2p coinage, looks hand done. The jackpot would have been the window at the bottom in white, which will have been removed, again when coming through decimal conversion. The top sign would have had some other aw...

Re: Coventry or Collectors auction

That's only my opinion TF. Soon one weekend, I may end up sitting on my own at home while it's all going on in Coventry and/or Derby. JC and/or MH might suddenly announce they're intentions and put me to shame. One of you guys may decide to do something. I fear this situation could well keep bounci...

You can move the rod from the end where the clip is, you may have to move the coin return lever
