Re: Sega Payout

Hi All, Last word on the subject. Payout (using thin 1p coins) is now correct. Using Malc's dodge of loading the payout tube with thin coins and using the rest of them to "play" is good. Dismantled damper and I had the cup washer facing into the cylinder. I reversed it, adjusted the valve ...

Re: Sega Payout

Nice one Malc. I didn't think of that dodge, just keep the payout tube full of thin coins. I have enough to do that. Piston damper photos attached (camera batteries now charged up). I think the cup washer is fitted with cup facing into cylinder not facing piston rod. Previous posting seems to sugges...

Re: Sega Payout

Hi Guys, Malc was right about the coin thickness affecting the payout. But first a small confession. Upon examining the payout slide assembly I found that the engineer who rebuilt my machine (me  ) had put the slides in the wrong sequence. I had (2) 2 coin slides at the bottom instead of (1) 2...

Re: Sega Payout

Malc, Thanks for that info about the coins, I'll investigate. The damper. I fitted a new cup washer when I rebuilt the machine. Unfortunately I forgot which way around it went on re-assembling it. Does it go cup towards the piston rod or cup away? I thought it should damp on the lever return but the...

Sega Payout

Hi Guys, I haven't posted on here for a while but now have a couple of questions about my Lord Sega Bandit. 1) This machine used to run on the old sixpence I think but has been converted to new one penny. It pays 2 coins payout OK but when it should pay 5 it only pays 4 and 10 it pays 9. I have meas...

Sega Handle Damper

Hi Guys, As you may recall I restored a Lord Sega sometime ago. It's all fine except for one thing which is puzzling me. When I stripped the pneumatic damper the cup washer was shot. I bought a new one but had forgotten which way up it fitted. I've tried it in both ways but do not seem to get the re...

Re: Later Mills slots

Hi Guys,
Just read these postings. Seeing someone mention the "7's" on the reels, my Lord Sega has these "7's" as well. When you get 3 "7's" it pays out 20. A bit like a jackpot I suppose.

Re: My Finished Lord Sega

Hi Tree Frog, Your Lord looks in better nick than mine was!! I'd like a jackpot mech. You did well for £50. Any time you can do a close up foto of the lock engagement on the door and post it I'd appreciate. Mine are missing and if I'm going to make them might as well make them correct. Mine has all ...

Re: My Finished Lord Sega

Hi All, Thanks for all the complimentary remarks. I take them as praise indeed from you long standing experts. I still have to get new locks because the person I bought it from didn't have the keys. I think to get a locksmith to work out what the keys are would be more expensive than new ones. One o...

My Finished Lord Sega

Hi All, I've corresponded about my "Lord Sega" on the Open Forum but as I've now got "activated" I thought I'd show it here. As the before pictures show, it was in a right state when I bought it for £50. It had been in a farmers shed for don't know how long. Cabinet received the ...

Re: Sega/Mills Jackpot Mechanism

Hi Guys,
Thanks for the info. I wouldn't have paid £50 for it anyway.
