Wanted for hire for BBC TV - '50s-'60s Gum ball Machine
Has anyone got a '50s-'60s coin operated Gum Ball machine. Needed for hire soon for BBC series 'Back in Time'.

I bought this to use in my old penny arcade at the Rye Heritage Centre. The seller tried to boost the price misleadingly by saying another was going for over £2000 (with no link). Clearly a steer-a- ball! His ruse probably worked but was happy to add it to my collection. the daft part of the design ...

Thanks to Site Admin for the info about the Chaplin and Mabel, 1914 film, I never knew that, and will add the info to the machine.

To clear up a point in this discussion, I added the 'Working Model' metal plate to Smokey Joe, so these models never had one

Yes, Smokey Joe is in the Rye Heritage Centre, but so is 'Charlie and Mabel in the Park'. This has been there a lot longer than Smokey Joe. Charlie does raise her skirt with his cane, and she turns to slap him. That is all. It is charming though.
