Re: Aristocrat not paying
Is that on any pay out? Force wins by stopping the clock and check all the combinations that win. Starting with cherries work your way up and tell if any work. Also..... You should hear 5 clicks on run down. 1 First reel stop 2 Second reel stop 3 Third reel stop 4 Vertical fingers release 5 Slide bu...

Re: Aristocrat not paying
Those are called the horizontal fingers. When you get a winning combination, another set of fingers above those (vertical fingers) slide into holes in the three discs that are attached to the end of the reels. Because the vertical fingers are pivoted in the middle, when they slide into the discs the...

Re: Super Challenger restoration
As a child did you play with Mamod Steam Engines? They use looped springs as drive belts. One end is tapered so you can twist it securely into the other end. They can still be purchased https://www.mamodonline.co.uk/index.php?_route_=mamod-spares So long as you cut the non tapered end of the spring ...

Re: Mills penny machine - info
Hi rayklann Welcome on board and to the hobby. I too confirm the mixed pedigree of your machine. It was quite common 60 years ago for small arcades and fairground operators to embellish/modernise their machines for the new season by sticking all sorts of alien badges and signs on the front. A common...

Re: Coventry or Collectors auction
I agree totally with you TF, "life has to move on and we need to live with not against the virus." However I don't think we're there yet, and neither is it our decision to make. All the while we keep bouncing between hopeful news and good predictions then back into doom and gloom, the less...

Re: Coventry or Collectors auction
That's only my opinion TF. Soon one weekend, I may end up sitting on my own at home while it's all going on in Coventry and/or Derby. JC and/or MH might suddenly announce they're intentions and put me to shame. One of you guys may decide to do something. I fear this situation could well keep bouncin...

Re: Coventry or Collectors auction
My view. Until people are allowed to enter pubs and public places, I don't fancy trying to hold an auction outside in a car park. Fair enough we are being told there is a road map showing dates for the next stages, but the last year and a bit has taught me about counting chickens from unhatched eggs...

Re: The first anti-tilt mechanism?
Possibly. It might also be to slow down any sticky fingered mechanic visiting to repair or unjam an out of order machine. My favourite "stitch up" was a Friday Lunch in my pub in The West End. The busiest session of the week, and as usual we were heaving. Suddenly amidst the hoard of punte...

Wow, was it a BIN that sold before the screen had dried?
