Re: EH / Collector Connector sales
It seems participating in an auction these days is ...
* Expensive so far as fees are concerned
* Bidding blind
* Requires the sleuthing skills of Sherlock to find out when, where, how or just about any other adverb you can think of.

Re: EH / Collector Connector sales
Fair does Bob.
It sounds like they took the time spent at the end for paying in (and out?) and just divided it up to spread it across the active part of the auction.

Well done, it's great when you succeed in curing them, isn't it?
The problem with grease is it attracts dirt, grit, hair etc.
Then it dries out and goes hard, trapping all the undesirable muck just where you don't want it.

When you took the reel assembly out, did you notice any clips added to the cogs (star wheels) which the stop levers enter to stop the spinning? Alternatively, the three plate discs attached to the right of the reels, have they any of the holes which the vertical fingers slide through, plugged up? Th...

Nice to keep it in the family.
Yes it is very easy to rig so that the jack pot is unobtainable, also very common practice. They're not called bandits for nothing.
Let us see how it goes for you, and good luck.

Re: What kind of slot machine is this?
Hi
Welcome to Pennymachines.co.uk
Your machine is a Jackpot Bell [Torch Front]. If you put that into Google you'll find lots of photos, most of which quote 1928.
As it's on Americaland coinage, is that where you are?
