Re: Brenner "Ball Past The Arrow"

OK - this better not have been an elaborate prank you pulled PM, as cashbox now cut down to 11.25"!?

Unfortunately I looked at the wires and they are different colours on the female part of the connector.
The mechanism was probably swapped at some time which is why all the colours are different, operators were famously lax about keeping machines original.

Love those authentic-looking dinks on the front.
Recycled metal PM, which not only saves me a fortune but does usually come with built in character like this!

Re: Help!! Electrical Wiring! Mills High Top

Projectbandit, in a perfect world it should be as simple as matching the same coloured wires on the female plug. That's the purpose of the different colours so repairmen can easily follow the circuits and problem solve. But having said that many times there will be shoddy work done later on by lazy ...

Re: Compton’s star soccer

One piece mold would never work BP, his arms are far too wide, but mostly the fact he has two legs with a gap between! :o Has to be two part just the way they originally did it.

Re: Compton’s star soccer

Coin-op, looking at your photo it appeared to me there were mold lines on the triangular bases beside the players feet, and the middle line between the feet matches up perfectly with the players leg mold line, which made me think they were all cast as one piece? If you have broken ones all showing g...

Re: Compton’s star soccer

Coin-op, since the Patent number was listed on the flyer I looked it up on this site. The drawing is very basic with no men shown just flat bars, so this was early on in development and doesn't help. These cast triangular bases seem a little too specific in shape to have been something recycled from...

Re: Brenner "Ball Past The Arrow"

Cashbox #1 done and fitted, and a bloody tight squeeze at that! I don't have a spot welder so I soldered the pieces together instead. Both my cases had a single screw hole in the similar place to the hole in your box PM, so just a small screw keeping it from moving around.

Re: Pace

It could be a Jennings machine that was converted with the Pace jackpot, because the top casting appears to be Jennings. Note the small square slug window and large raised reel window frame. But it could also be a Frankenstein, the whole machine has been over-restored with chromed alloy castings and...

Re: Pace

Watling, where are you seeing the Fey emblem on that original machine? It reads Pace.
