Re: Mills / Jubilee reel strips

Since those are Aussie strips you'll be battling to ever find them. I've never even seen that particular variation. But what's the problem, you have all the symbols you need in good order anyway, so a very simple fix to scan and build up the missing strips to print out.

Re: Aristocrat Clubman & Clubmaster

Well to add my two cents worth, equally good and bad news for any potential overseas buyer of this thing. Good - even though it's running on 1 Shilling, that's still the same size of our current 10 cent, so in the eyes of the Aussie law this is highly illegal to own here. and serious Aussie coin-op ...

Re: How to date a Bradley's Challenger?

Good to see you back Jingalong. PM posted something about this years ago relating to the first three digit model code on the serial plate, Challenger model is #200 - and then he noticed a #202 - which I think was a Shooting Star version. On the site somewhere.

Re: 2 Roll-a-Penny boards. Any advice?

Good luck Tammy! !OMFG! I've never had to strip down layers of paint on canvas. There may be an issue with chemicals soaking into the canvas and lifting all the paint. Another method I didn't mention that has been very handy for me is using tape to strip top paint off. I noticed how well this worked...

Re: Removing new paint to reveal old paintwork

Another method I didn't mention that has been very handy for me is using tape to strip top paint off. I noticed how well this worked accidentally years ago on cabinets that had no keys and were shut with packing tape. Sometimes weaker tapes work or you need something stronger like duct tape. Good th...

Re: Earth Satellite

Well thank you, nice to be appreciated by a very few who know and care about our arcane interests. I'm usually far too enthused and busy in the jobs to think about documenting them, often occurs to me far too late. But occasionally I do notice methods that will likely interest other collectors here....

Re: Earth Satellite

Well finally got most of the backflash poster done tonight and over the moon with it! My original plan from years ago as thought out above in old postings to paint silver over the print and place clear decals with black printing turned out to work perfectly for me. The artwork is not done the ...

Re: 2 Roll-a-Penny boards. Any advice?

Tammy every single time I try to strip paint layers it's an experiment. Even the same machines sometimes need different chemicals to clean up due to different life and conditions they've led. Great thing is original paint is usually so old it's cooked and set in place compared to the more modern lat...

Re: How to date a Bradley's Challenger?

I think you can safely list it as 1929 when it was introduced. The serial numbers all seem to start with 1***, as have four that I've had in my workshop and all the others I've seen photos of. So would make yours #705.
