Re: Bryans Pendulum - Which Top is Correct?
We had a globe on ours but the area looked like it had been worked on at some time, so I don't know if it was original. We had thought that the globe was wrong, and that it used either a round or hexagon shaped lantern top like on the all square metal crane (except if not round, hexagon as the pendu...

Salter Scale original paint scheme
While trying to research the Bryans Pendulum , I came across an original Salter Scale ad for one of their scales. I thought I'd share it because of how neat the paint scheme is on it... Maybe it would be useful to people restoring a scale. Often we think of old scales painted very plainly and suspec...

Bryans Pendulum - Which Top is Correct?
We have a restored and beautifully working Bryans Pendulum machine. Our only question has to deal with the very top of the machine... Should it have a globe, or a panel lighted top to it... We suspect a relatively low panel, and not a globe, but I'm curious who here might be able to help more. Ours ...

Re: Pat Gresham
I just learned hours ago that we have lost Patricia "Pat" Gresham -- a great woman and good friend. A funeral service is scheduled for tomorrow. Her official obituary: Patricia Gresham GRESHAM Patricia Anne (Pat) Of Westwood House, North Dalton and former proprietor of Penny Arcadia, the R...

Re: Bob Klepner
As mentioned above, Bob was 'one of the true gentlemen of our hobby'. He was always gracious, always helpful, always friendly, and always passionate about his interests. He clearly had a huge scholarly interest in the machines too. He was always happy to answer the phone when people called, and I wa...

Re: Discovery and Dispersal of the Holden Collection in Adelaide, Australia.
An identical rare Avery scale ended up in the east coast of the United States and then was put on eBay maybe ten years ago? Since it was the only one I've ever seen I bid what I thought was a very strong number for it and I still lost the auction. It went to a European collector. The two mermaid cas...

Re: Postcard vender & bank with dial counter
This was a neat machine. When I saw it on eBay I figured it was something that would interest you. I've never seen anything else like it before. Thanks for posting pictures here too. I'm curious if any history comes out about it...

Re: test your strenght machine
Yes, early, rare (I know of 2 of them), and valuable. Part of a set. Probably the least attractive machine in the set, but the rarest.
I would be very interested in it if it was for sale...

Re: Ace.com - Best UK eBay Auctions.
Ya... I don't make it around too often. I'm not even on my own coin-op forums as much as I'd like (forums.arcade-museum.com). If I didn't run the site, I'd have more time to be social on it. I just decided to log on today since I made a few posts and was curious if anyone responded. Between work, ho...

Ace.com - Best UK eBay Auctions.
Some of you know me, some don't. I run the International Arcade Museum and associated web sites. I'm also an avid collector of coin-op with many hundreds of machines. I have dozens of UK machines, mostly floor models, half of which came through our adoption of Penny Arcadia. We're always on the hunt...
