Re: New way of getting past Ebay rules
I see same machines are back on ebay again both after selling, plenty of bids and I was one of them. Why did they not contact me after with a second chance offer? And they went for good prices, more than I thought they would. Come on, why not sell to the under bidders then? Oh hang on, it was an eba...

Re: new toys, need some info if poss ?
Reminds me of a gum vender at my local antique centre which I'm sure was the same as your one, not that much better condition, and was red as well. It was up for £160 and had a black metal stand attached. It's not there now and was sold. Don't see too many of them on ebay. Looks small and an easy re...

Greg, just a word of caution, if things went wrong in the oven you may end up with a mini backflash smaller than you started with.

Re: Easy Perm Backflash
If still no luck, another way is to place the backflash on a flat baking tray facing up laying on grease proof paper and put it in the oven for 15 minutes on gas mark 5. Remove backflash and then proceed to flatten with a rolling pin then repeat if needed.

In working order?? Could there be magnets inside the playfield holes? Then again, I'd rather not know - don't think I'll bid on it anyway.

Re: Import duty, shipping costs, etc. from USA
Bought a Hidden Treasure Bryans machine from the States a number of years ago when the exchange rate was really good. It came in a large wooden crate made by the seller and, if I remember, it was shipped by Fedex. Paid £700 in all with post. I did have help from the seller and paid no extra in total...

Re: Ebay & Gambling Licence
Yes, it would be a shame if they were to ban the sale of slot machines on ebay. It's good to see an interesting mix of machines for sale on a website at any one time. We collectors have had a good run, I must say, for a good few years selling and buying on ebay and seen second hand amusment machine ...

Re: How many times did you read it?
Any machines bought and resold for more money would, I guess, be liable for tax on the profit just the same as if you bought shares and sold at a profit in a tax year, so if you go past the £10,600 a year limit you should, by law, pay tax on any profit you make. That is, if you're really honest or j...

Re: How many times did you read it?
Due to today's new online laws, I think we have found a new selling template on how to sell a slot machine on ebay. For he's a jolly good fellow, three hip hip hoorays...... Hope he's got a patent on it?

This is what not to do when you have a light cream coloured sofa when you try and sell a dirty old machine on ebay. I hope this seller took some pictures of his machine while his wife was out shopping !!

Thank you very much pennymachines, I would just like to say a few words: A very big thank you to my manager, also agent, family & friends and forum members. Oh yes, and whoever knows me. I have never been so proud since I came in third in a local egg & spoon race many years ago without the a...

Re: Slider's: Come one Come all - Win-A-Prize Competition!
No surprise. He did pull the listing as I expected he would. I can remember him selling many slot machines, motor cars & a yellow Del Boy van a few years back on ebay. Think he was called 'newbaby', which I would think some collectors would remember. I did meet him once, a long time ago. He seem...

Re: Slider's: Come one Come all - Win-A-Prize Competition!
I don't have too much faith in the seller & his other machine listings to run their course, so feeling the Bones machine may be pulled off before the end of the auction by the seller.
