Re: ID which brand/model is this allwin ?
Sorry for being so assertive; as I can only assume and guess. I was under belief these kind of allwins were made in the UK. I know some about German classic "pennymachines"; as the flick-a-coin /drop-case-kind of wall machines were made early in Germany. Perhaps originated there. But what ...

Re: ID which brand/model is this allwin ?
Thanks for the input so far. It most certainly is a UK model; as I got it shipped (ebay-auction) quite a few years ago from the UK. It was listed as a 1920s allwin. So this is a rare bird in Norway where I live. Gameplay: 1d (penny) inserted; releases one ball. The ball is catapulted into the playfi...

Transistor/electronic part for Jamieson wall machine
Topic moved & merged - Site Admin. Got a Jamison "MAXI" -wall machine. I don't know if these were distributed / on location in the UK. But these were popular & pretty common in Norway. There are two specific / programmed transistors/ chips which I need to get my machine work again...

Dennis Jezzard: Tap-a-coin
This machine has text on the front-glass, partially adapted to Norwegian language. Object of the game is to flick a coin into the playfield. Each coin is flicked thee times. To obtain the highest payout a payout slot in each of the three "floors" must be hit. Dropcase/flick-a coin machines...

Re: Wall mounted electro-mechanical Flik Flak pinball
You`re right bp. Nothing beats the real thing ;-) But among the wallmounted entertainmentmaschines, from the 70`s; this one is among the better ones in my opinion. I am sure taht it in 1971 was relatively expensive because of its complexity. I know there are other wall-pinballs; but never seen any v...

Re: Wallmounted electro-mechanical pinballmaschine
Thanks for the comment bp. No nasty electronics in its internals. It is a miniature version of its bigger contemporary sisters and brothers. Taste is a relative term. I find it very nice looking. The orange and green is really time-typical, and kind of in fashion these days. I really get 70s vibes w...

Wall mounted electro-mechanical Flik Flak pinball
Have a look at this machine: It's a "FLIK FLAK", dated back to approx. 1971. Made by the German company Aisch & Melchers. I have also seen this machine refereed to as a Wurlitzer. I know that wall-mounted entertainment machines were branded Wurlitzer; but I do not have actual knowledge...

Re: Jamiesons Automatics dropcase machine in Norway
Slotalot: You made my day with that article. !!YIPPEE!! As icing on the cake, the main picture in the link you refered to shows a Maxi IV flick-a-coin machine. That was the final model, the most evolved one. Thank you so much. I will bring this info to other Norwegian collectors who will find this v...

Jamiesons Automatics Maxi dropcase machine in Norway
Hi. Just wanted to share a discovery I did just a few weeks ago: In Norway numerous versions of drop-case machines were released over a 50 years' period. During the late 1970s until the mid-eighties there was a Norwegian distributor named Scandomatic. This company marketed a drop-case machines calle...

Re: Dropcase flick-coin machines
Thank you for kind feedback. I also have some classic UK-allwin-machines in my collection. You know; the type with ball bearing looping from the down right side into a payout-slot. As I anderstand these machiens were the common ones during decades in the UK; the flick-a-coin-machines were the standa...

Re: Dropcase flick-coin machines
Dropcase machines was the norm for almost 50 years in Norway. Came in all kinds of variations; from fully mechanical to modern electronic ones. Here you see my collection; or most of it anyway.

Supplier of period glass?
Got a 40-50s classic allwin with broken front-glass. The piece of glass has an "organic"/ period feel to it, being pritty thick and uneven. A modern replacement would not be right.
Is it possible these days to get hold of pieces of glass with that "old feel"?
