Re: Have you discovered old coins in a machine when you first got it?

Depends on what you mean by "old". If you mean 6d coins old enough to still have silver in them or Victorian 1d coins, yes ...all the time. I've also found the odd George V shilling. I suspect most of us have found all of those.

Re: Bargain on ebay?

Well it ended as "SOLD" at £128,000+ and the trade stim continues at £58,000+. It's strange to say the least.

Re: Silver King Duck Hunt

That's a coincidence. You do realise the little man on the front of the Dutch Boy machine looks and dresses just like Hans (our Dutchboy).

Re: Bargain on ebay?

Yes, if it is a move by the seller it's a stupid one. To be honest, he doesn't look very bright. The very fact that the amounts are so high makes you think twice about buying from him because it feels so false. The account he is selling it from has no feedback so most likely created just to sell the...

Re: bargain on ebay

So why is he not simply removing the items from sale? I think it's some sort of ploy and photo 4 is a give-away. It is a photo of his phone number.

Bargain on ebay?

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/395460779313 and the postage is only £17 !OMFG! This may have changed since I posted (last time I looked this Jennings was over £120,000). I hope so, for the seller's sake. The eBay fee would be over £15,000. I assume the seller is playing some sort of "off ebay ploy&...

Re: Bunch of Aristocrat Nevada Machines For Sale

this has to be a "contact me off of eBay" advert, I would think £3,000 tops if you buy all ten makes more sense as whoever buys them as a job lot will want to sell them on and that wont happen at a cost price of £500 each. The eBay fees as the advert stands would be close to £700, more if ...

Holland...hot bed of slot collecting

Ive always wondered why the Netherlands has so many slot machine collectors (many of them are regular members on this site). I seem to send more artwork to Holland than I do to the USA, Australia, and Germany put together. In the last 10 days I've sent four orders to Holland plus I have a large orde...

Re: Sega Bell

Don't know why, and it's most likely only me who thinks it, but I've never liked bandits that run on 1d. I think it's because I feel a complex piece of kit like a bandit deserves more than a lowly 1d play. Even as a kid I never played them. My 1d's were kept for allwins. If, in later years, I was fl...

Re: Mills (High Top?)

As to convincing the wife, it might help to tell her it's likely to go up in value and it makes a good conversation piece (even if it's just her telling visitors her husband is clearly mad). This IS a good place to sell BUT, how much do you ask? If it was me, in this particular case, I would put it ...
