Sega progressive star coin meter

Tonight’s homework...
This meter counts up 1 increment every 20 coins, but the part that is attached to the key does nothing when I turn it. Should the key be able to reset the counter ?

Re: Aristocrat Clubmaster

The polished parts look great, do they deteriorate after time?

Re: Aristocrat Clubmaster

I think vinyl wrap has its place, I’ve used it on a bandit stand I made recently, but I have to say I prefer to see the original wood on sides of bandits, refurbished or not. This is of course personal taste, and I think we all may have different likes and dislikes. I’m only jealous really because I...

Re: Sega console wiring diagram

It would be 220 or 110 depending on its primary taping, which I would check has been correctly set. The voltage will almost certainly be a/c on the coils. I like to work the voltage out so I can then know what current should be drawn when I make new coils, but I’m funny like that. !PUZZLED! Of cours...

Re: Sega console wiring diagram

Sorry, yes, you are correct. What I would say is not to count the turns but unwind the complete coil and measure its resistance, and length. You will then have a guide to what your new coil resistance should be. This can also verify that the replacement wire you use is of the correct gauge by compar...

Re: Sega console wiring diagram

Yes that coil and the bottom coil look fried, they have almost certainly gone shorted turns. Disconnect each coil and replace with a 1k resistor, then check across said resistance to see what voltage, if any, is across them. Once you know this then it is possible to make your own coils. Unless someo...

Re: Sega console wiring diagram

The relays in these machines can have you up the wall when fault finding. If the machine has been kept in a damp environment then you will need to check and repair each relay in turn. If you don’t do this then you will find that the faults change each time it runs.
Good luck.

Build your own bandit stand

Not liking any of the modern bandit stands available, I decided to have a go at making one myself. |/XX\| I basically copied the dimensions from an old stand I have, built the whole thing from one piece of 8 x 4 x 3/4 inch ply. Finished it with stick on vinyl, aluminium foot plate and chrome plastic...
