Re: Payout slides removal and replacement

Mech serial number, should match number on cabinet Ahh.. it might have a job. The machine was originally found in several inches of water in a barn... cab was completely trashed - so the owner before me ended up remaking the cabinet from scratch (and he's done a REALLY nice job!!). Yes i know it's ...

Re: Payout slides removal and replacement

Well occasionally you have one of those nights. Tonight was it. Following up on the above, started to look at the payslides... then as i was thinking about BP's dental pick above, my gaze was attracted to the tool bench... bingo... those things that you bought years ago, thinking they would be usefu...

OOh... sound like a very (un-)technical device :)

Any pics please?

Re: Payout slides Removal and replacement

Many thanks Treefrog.
Is there anywhere this side of the pond to get new springs? Just figured it would make sense to change them, however if it's a case of waiting months for delivery from the US then may just clean up the ones in there.

Payout slides removal and replacement

Hi everyone :) Anyone have any suggestions/hints/tips for removing/cleaning/replacing payout slides at all? Wondered why they didn't "slide" that well (if at all!)... So is it worth detaching all springs in one go, removing and remembering in which order, cleaning and then putting back in?...

Re: Jennings Governer Jackpot Assembly

Many thanks treefrog :) Will take a look over the coming days and see if i can line it up and get it working - Appreciated :) Am guessing that the Jackpot unit has to be removed to get decent access to the pay slides? and once the springs are detached, do the slides come out through the front or the...

Jennings Governer Jackpot Assembly

Does anyone have anything that might help me re-assemble a Jennings Jackpot assembly on a Governer please? Picked up a machine which was _almost_ working, however it looks to me like the pivot assembly on the Right side of the jackpot (looking from the front!) has been put together all wrong.. Even ...

Re: Jennings Governor... Price?

Any recommendations from the experts above on where to go to get a decent re-plate nowadays?
Mine is starting to flake on the top, so needs re-plating before I end up with chrome in my fingers... :(

Re: Jennings Governor... Price?

Not sure what 5p you are talking about, but the jackpot is full of old shillings, same as escalator, unless this is not the same machine...... You know... you're right... I had looked fairly closely and thought it was on the newer smaller 5p - Hadn't seen that in fact it's the older 5p in use :o It...

Re: Jennings Governor... Price?

Many thanks coppinpr, radiochrissie, bp for the info/advice... Difficult, I know, based upon the scant information. It seems to take new 5p coins, so must be a ‘fairly recent’ conversion as the new 5p has only been out for 29 years... There’s must be a video somewhere of a smooth mech - will take a ...

Thanks BP 👍🏻 Seems like this one is on new 5p, so I bet there’s been next to no modification to it... which is a good thing...

Any clues/pointers??

Hahaha nice to see you haven't lost that spirit BP :) All done... Coins un-jammed and works like a treat..... I worked out the easiest way was to remove the stop on the top, and as you wan invert it.
