Or maybe just greed. A red Columbia bought yesterday in Cornwall for £550 now on sale on eBay for £1,900. Yikes!

Re: Sad Story regarding Mr Slot

Hi All, First of all seasons greetings to everyone. I tried to contact Dave Berten a couple of months ago but, like you people, had no luck. After many attempts, I received a reply saying he no longer uses his normal way of contact but to use (thunderfivefive@aol.com) which worked for me. Regards JRA.

Re: Shortages having a knock on effect for us?

Helllo, I have used Alan James ( Amicus couriers ) five time this year to transport various items (slot machine, 2x bedside cabinets, floor lamp, )plus a couple of others. Charged me £50 all in, prompt reliable and good communication would highly recommend him. JRA>

Re: Uncle Allan visited today

Hi TF,
The plunger by the jackpot is an override device in case the jackpot fail to drop on a win. You push the plunger to release the jackpot, this only works if a j/p has been attained. Hope this answers your question.

Re: Oak Manufacturing Co. Premiere Card/Gum & similar vendors

Hello,
I found this chap in the States who does parts for Oak premier gum dispenser and other gumball machine parts.
He may have the bits you need.
His contact details are: Mervyn Williams at llbbcoach1@aol.com
It's worth a try.

Re: Toy slot machines

Hi Coppiner, Yes, I did try 25cent, also tried one shilling, five pence and many other coins, but they were not heavy enough or too small to trip the ball release (the release seems to work on weight rather than a physical push). It was a last try with a half/penny that it worked as it should. So it...

Re: Toy slot machines

Hello, An update on the toy JACKPOT machine, well it is not a toy, far too well made. It measures 6"x6"x12" and weighs 5lb or 2Kg. It is almost certainly a trade stimulator. It works as follows: insert the coin (after much trial and error I found it takes an old half/penny as none of ...

Re: Toy slot machines

Hi TF, 16 Bids 14 bidders. I too wondered if it was a trade stimulator as there seems no payout. I then thought it may be a token payout through the little tray on the front, and the slot on the side you mentioned is for refilling the tokens. At the moment I have no idea whether it is USA or UK make...

Re: Toy slot machines

Hello, I bought the above machine mainly out of curiosity. When I first saw it I thought it was a toy one, but after asking the vendor for a shot of the inside I was not so sure so set about some research to find out more about it. After many hours I came up with nothing. Looking again at the mechan...

Try not to drill the lock, a new one will cost you £200 plus (if you can find one).
