Re: Unidentified Jack Pot Front
aristocratic You are correct; Lincoln Delux top casting (was also used on a 4 column FOK vender model). Thanks for the link; So, at least 2 revamps have turned up in the UK in this same configuration; Lincoln Delux top casting; unidentified JP front; JP windows display only (neither machine has a fu...

Re: Unidentified Jack Pot Front
Additional information; actually, on this machine the JP windows are display only;
it does not have an operational JP.
I am assuming it was designed to add a JP to older machines that did not have one; I may be mistaken about that.

Revamped Watling Mint Vendor front identified
This machine came up on a Facebook group (ugh).
It is a Watling top casting with an unidentified JP conversion front.
Anybody recognize this JP front?
TIA.

Firmans revamp identified
Topic merged - Site Admin. This machine is for sale in the US as a 25c US machine. I suspect it was a Mills export machine that has been revamped in Europe with a jack pot front. Can anyone identify the maker of this jack pot front (with the 2 visible jackpots and crown at the top center)? Thanks.

Re: Pace
A note on the Star twin JP conversion front; there is a photo posted above of a page from Fey's book "Slot Machines"; that book attributes development of this front to Fey. It's actual history is somewhat convoluted and is given by Dick Bueschel in "100 Slot" Volume 2; he credits...

Re: Pace
Although it looks very similar, the machine at the top of this thread is not a Pace Fancy Front; the Fancy Front is the nickname given to one of the early machines in the Pace Comet line; the first Pace Comet looked a lot like these machines, then they made another Comet version (about 1935) that wa...

Re: Wall Machines
Yes; Machine 2 does have a small badge along the top front of the case; "Supplied by Ruffler & Walker" with an address on St John Hill St in London. Since it says "supplied by", was not sure if R&W was the maker or a distributor. It operates on the old large English penny...

Re: Wall Machines
After posting the above, I just noticed that another member also asked what these machines are (in another thread);
I offered them for sale (looking for offers) on the US forum, and that is where he got the photos.
So far, no serious offers from the US forum.

Wall Machines
Topic merged - Site Admin. I picked up these 3 machines when I was in Europe about 30 years ago. I should have written down what they were; now I want to sell them and forgot who made them/model name. Any info you can provide will be appreciated, including current values. The machines are in the US...

Re: Official Historian?
It is a shame Freddy does not use this forum much, I think I have seen one or two posts in the past. Also reading that thread about getting rid of all his paperwork, it would be great if it had the chance to end up where UK related stuff goes to someone willing to share for all. I suspect one of th...

Re: Official Historian?
Good morning; Yes; my question was motivated by the”other thread” on the US forum. Apparently, I offended Freddy by questioning his credentials (which I don’t think I did and certainly I didn’t intend to do). He was so unusually defensive that it made me wonder if the title of Official Coin Op Histo...

Official Historian?
I've noticed that Freddy Bailey claims the title of Official UK Coin Machine Historian or something like that. On the other hand, the jacket of Automatic pleasures states that Nic Costa is "the leading UK authority on the history of the coin-op genre...." Who decides and is it a rotating t...

Mills? Maybe a Tom Boland
Topic moved & merged - Site Admin. There is an auction on the US ebay for a vintage Mills slot machine. Please see item number 111191213965 If I am not mistaken it is actually a Tom Boland slot machine. My questions are: Is it a Tom Boland machine? If yes, approximately what year was he making ...

Gumball Wheel Game
I picked up this machine at a flea market in Southern Belgium in 1985. I've seen other machines like it, but not with a gum ball (or other confection) attachment. The photos should show the gum compartment juts out the back and the gum ball vends out the payout chute. My question: did this guy come ...
