Re: Can anyone recommend a Nationwide trustworthy Courier

It's a shame Allan has not returned. I hope all is well with him and his family. I have used another courier, Len Speed Logistics, on a couple of occasions now and have had no problems. He seems very reliable and has delivered on time. He does as far as I’m aware have other collectors in this hobby ...

!!THUMBSX2!! Brilliant. That’s why this site is second to none. Spent many hours trying to find these. Should have asked here first.
Thank you

Re: Button head / coach bolts ?

Thank you all kindly for info. Given the imperial aspect, I think I’m now looking for 3/16, so will give that a try. I’m happy to use square locking type PM. I can always file them if necessary. Will most likely need to go down that road as I doubt I will find anything close to original.

Button head / coach bolts ?

Can anyone please advise me where I can source these from? I’m not having a lot of luck in locating them.
Bolts from Bryan square cup. I think possibly M4 in today's money?

Re: Wall mounting slot machines

Although I haven’t tried it out yet I’ve given some thought to a French cleat which I think would work pretty well with the same thickness batten fixed to the bottom of the allwin to keep it perpendicular to the wall. You could fix a length to the wall and position anywhere along it? Excuse the prim...

Gold plastic trim for Jamieson See Saw

Topic merged - Site Admin.

Trying to source something close to the original trim for my See Saw project. I have tried various searches to no avail. It’s plastic track / u channel. I can get brass but would rather the original plastic. Any help appreciated.

Re: Shefras Extrawin

Very nice Tom. I actually forgot about it - had intended to bid. How does this work with the sealed rotor as opposed to mine with the chute to the side? Does the ball drop away when it reaches the top and how is it replaced? This is as far as I’ve gotten with my resto. I had a new backflash made but...

Re: The Wonders of the Seas

On second thoughts, the ball looks to be held in the window as mentioned by slotalot - drops away on a win and is replaced by another constantly showing in the window?

Re: The Wonders of the Seas

Would think the window at diving bell will be a bonus payout, much like Wonder Win and Mystery, Win and Place etc.
Also looks to have been modified by operator to give free ball on a win. Have had this before on Wonders machine.

Given Allan has taken time away just now does anyone have another courier they use regularly and would recommend?

Re: Stripper not working (ooo err!)

I use a product (Peelaway) and have had good results on various surfaces over the years. Works like a poultice where you spread it on and cover and leave for a day or two and peel it off.

Re: BDR bandit

Many thanks BP. I thoroughly cleaned the route the coin takes and it was caked with all sorts. Probably never been done before. I’ve had it about seven years and apparently it spent 30 before that in the back of a cupboard. It's a very nice example. Initially the odd coin stopped at the brass gate. ...

Re: BDR bandit

Hi BP,
The first of these is the issue usually: drop coin in, depress handle, reels spin but, as you have said, depress handle, which is locked, and coin drops to payout tray.

BDR bandit

Topic merged - Site Admin. My bandit as of late has become very fussy about what coins it will accept. There has always been the odd one or two rejected perhaps down to weight, thickness? but now it’s almost every other coin. As has been mentioned on other posts these mechs are like a Swiss watch a...

Re: Tin cowboy allwin

Pics of inside if it gives any clues as to a particular maker or does it look like a one off project made by someone? It’s extremely well built as I can testify having had to get into it as the key was snapped in the lock which hopefully I can have made. The backflash is aluminium with either transf...
