Salvage Hunters The Restorers

Did anybody see last night’s episode on Quest?
A dealer had paid £4000 for a Chicago Coin BasketBall machine, and had it repaired by a pinball man in Norfolk.
Loved the machine and I’ve played on one in America.
But due to power cut I missed the last parts. Trying to find it on catch up!

Re: Allwin Double Your Money

Be careful they become very addictive.
My wife was the same at first, the 1st 2 machines I bought were for her and she enjoys playing on them.
But then I became addicted!
Now after 20+ machines and I come home with a Steeraball she is not so pleased.

Does anybody have any of these binders?
Is Brian King a member?
I have just sorted my bookcase out and require 1 binder.

Re: Big Top shooting gallery gum ball machine space shot

The 1st machine I ever bought at auction was a US Marshall/ Silver Dollar machine, when Steve ran the events at Huntingdon racecourse. It does not have the side skirts or the prize giving parts and as Moonriver says looks better for it. I’ve still got the machine because it is so fun to play , with ...

Bloody hell! if that’s on top your head , what's inside it?
It’s a pity this knowledge could not be passed on in the form of a book, but it would be a labour of love, and not commercially viable.

Re: Ruffler & Walker Helicopter Race

What a super job on the racer.
What a fantastic line up of machines. I could not get those big machines past the wife.
Once bought a Steer-a-ball (one of my favourite machines) and she was not impressed.

Re: Penny arcade on TV

I’ve called at Moonriver's arcade several times with my 5 year old grandson who loves playing on the cranes, as he wins every time. Due to blue tack on the grab, little does he know that the penny sweet cost grandad 15 pence. BUT his reaction is priceless. (I do need to get my crane working). That’s...

Re: I was only following orders...

I have fond memories of going to Belle Vue in the mid 1970s to the fantastic speedway track and, after watching Peter Collins, Chris Morton, Soren Sjosten perform their skill, I would go into the fairground to the rides. I can’t remember any arcades - must have gone by then. It was sad, as it was in...
