The bell inside my machine

Topic merged - Site Admin.

Hi,
Can anyone tell me why there is a bell inside my Bally 742a?
Is it for the jackpot or in case it's broken into?

Is there a way to enable it? There is nothng in my manual about it.

Thank you.

Re: Flaking paintwork

The guy from Raleigh came to my work once a week when I worked for British Aerospace as an Ion coater and paint sprayer spraying epoxy resin onto items to stop them collecting moisture at high altitudes.
Interesting job.

Flaking paintwork

I am pretty new to the arcade world; well I've owned a few and played a few but I know a thing or two about paint work. I was taught to paint by Raleigh in the '80s - yes the bike company. Re: bottom flouresnt tube replace

Done it - two screws hold in the complete panel, you then take off chrome trim then the glass comes away.
Now to test if it's the transformer or starter or bulb that's gone. ;)

Re: Bally Lucky Stars identified

That's great - thanks again.

I'll get it degreased and oiled with 3 in 1 oil. It will be used in the home mainly.

Topic merged - Site Admin. Hi, can anyone help? My Bally works 99% perfect apart from big payouts above 32p. The coins won't fall into the slots and spit out sometimes resulting in the machine shutting down and having to press reset button. Now I've cleaned it best I can. The disc spins fine but th...

On the reels someone has written in felt tip 'SW Controls payouts' and it points towards a section of micro switches? Any idea what this means? Thank y...
