Re: New Look Website

Hmm, all looks a bit weird on Apple's Safari browser...

'Magnified', as someone said before, and blue background instead of the familiar light beige.

No 'new posts' direct link on the board index, either, and the Quick links drop-down doesn't seem to work very well.

Would the machine have been made post £1 coin (1983) release?
Maybe a token of some kind?

Re: Gumball machines?

I went to visit my mum and sister, who live a couple of miles from Basingstoke, and yes, we did visit the 'Milestones' museum. Some lovely old machines in the penny arcade. !!THUMBSX2!!

"That well, me too, but many years ago I did not speak. He worked and lived in Spain for more than three years from snow hundred thousand seventy-four, was taught English. I've never been..." Lol I learned up to an intermediate level years ago, so had to put that into Google Translate. Sti...

Re: Gumball machines?

I do like these, we bought a Beaver last year and and think the typical price on ebay and the like for a good one is between £50 to £75. I seem to remember a video on Penny machines somewhere showing the manufacture of them and theres quite a lot to it, so i think they are good value for money. Yes...

Vertical? It's vertical in my browser :o

Unfortunately, my 15 year old is perpetually skint, so a pile of 20p pieces is required beside the machine !PUZZLED!

Re: Gumball machines?

OK, thanks for the info... I'd been looking at the Beaver brand machines, as they seem to have a decent reputation for quality build. I'd be vending either gumballs or something like M&Ms, Skittles etc. So if I can find a Beaver brand gumball machine in a similar shape to the one above, i'd be h...

Gumball machines?

I know this probably isn't a thing for this forum but i'm looking for a vintage 'look' gumball/candy dispenser.
Apart from the usual ebay/Amazon route, does anyone know a decent retailer for good quality machines?

Plenty in the US but shipping is prohibitive.

Aah, so it's really just a strategically-placed weight?

Presumably if placed under a BAR symbol, so it ended up closer to the underside?
