Re: Aristocrat - a rough price?

These are the other one armed bandits he has for sale if the price is right. What do you experts think they're worth, and what are they?

Re: Aristocrat - a rough price?

I think the problem is with this site. I uploaded them using my computer, some of them are not displaying on my screen but when I hit refresh they appear but others disappear.

Re: Aristocrat - a rough price?

Well, here is the machine in question. How much is this bugger worth? Any ideas? It's not as bad as I remember seeing it last week, but the daylight had just about gone when I saw it. The chap selling this machine also took me into his cellar to show me some Alwins in great but dusty condition, and ...

Re: Aristocrat - a rough price?

I don't think it's gonna be viable to fully restore this machine. If the gentleman who owns it were to GIVE it to me, then it'd be worth my time restoring it for my pleasure and at my expense, but to restore it and try to sell it, to both be able to get some money from the sale would just not be wor...

I didn't have any problems with his service. All work carried out perfectly, and fast turn around too. It was all done within 2 weeks.

Re: Aristocrat - a rough price?

There are numerous Aristocrat sales recorded in the Arena , some very tidy looking ones in the £250 range. A couple of desirable Clubmasters sold for £500 and £600 at Coventry in November. I'm not a member of the "Arena" page, therefore I can't view anything. That's a good price for chrom...

Re: Aristocrat - a rough price?

It cost me £120 to have all chrome parts of mine re-chromed two years ago, so that's not an issue. I just need a rough price of what these machines are worth in average condition.

Aristocrat - a rough price?

Hi all. Happy new year to all members. Well, I'm still very happy with my Aristocrat Olympic. No problems at all since I bought her, stripped her down and totally refurbished her 2 years ago. The guy I bought the machine from has asked if I'd like to work on another machine he has. He wants me to ta...

Re: 2p to 20p conversion (or 10p)

Ok guys, thanks for the input from you both.
I think I may well be biting off more than I can chew with this idea.

I think it might be best to let sleeping dogs lie.

Thanks for the advice though nonetheless. !!THUMBSX2!! !!THUMBSX2!!

2p to 20p conversion (or 10p)

This is just an idea I'm toying with at the moment. I have an Aristocrat machine on 2p play (30p jackpot). How much of a challenge would it be to convert it to 20p play or 10p play? Would it be costly? Where would I get the sliders, coin tube and coin mech? Looking forward to reading your replies. M...

Re: Help with Dutchess one arm bandit - not paying out

Yeah, let's have some good quality photo's.....let's see a win setup on the winline, and let's see if those vertical fingers are going through the payout holes in the payout discs.

If we have any technical computer boffins on here, I could do with your help. I have been using Windows XP for years without any problems but a few months ago my computer started to run really slow and sluggish, especially when it came to web browser usage. I assumed it was because Micrososft no lon...

Re: Aristocrat Olympic 'Wheelie' reel alignment & restoratio

Well, that was a short lived pleasure! The Araldite I used to bond the payout disc to reel 3 broke away, which meant the disc slipped slightly and cocked up the payouts again! GRRRRR!! I stripped the reels down again and got to the heart of the problem. As I was removing the Araldite, two rivets cam...

Re: Aristocrat Olympic 'Wheelie' reel alignment & restoratio

Problem now resolved! !THUMBS! I removed two of the vertical fingers and filed a little bit from under the nose (the pointy bit which goes through the discs). I only removed about 1 to 2mm which was just enough to allow the finger to pass through the troublesome holes in disc 3. The machine now pays...

Re: Aristocrat Olympic 'Wheelie' reel alignment & restoratio

Thanks to all who submitted responses to my problems/issues. Especially Aristomatic. Without your expertise and advice, I'd have been struggling for weeks. The machine is looking fine and dandy, it runs as smooth as silk. I'm proud of my achievements considering this is the first time I've ever refu...
