Where to next?

Hello again from Down Under. Australia, that is. I'm heading up to the UK in July for 4 weeks. Any suggestions on good places to visit to see collections, and also maybe find/buy some parts for my Jubilee Riviera? Fly into Heathrow, wandering up to Falkirk. Edinburgh, Aberdeen, Glasgow, probably not...

Aristocrat Starlite Wild Ace for sale down under

So in my continued dream of turning up a really nice coin op machine, I recently came across an Aristocrat Starlight Wild Ace. A little research says it was from 1960. Gent selling it advertises it thus: One arm bandit A$850 Old school one arm bandit, works but needs attention, 1950s... I'm definite...

Re: Aristocrat Espirit

Had my nieces stay with us over xmas. Let them use my pokies, and was very clear with the method. On the 10c machine 1 COIN AT A TIME. and on the 5c machine: NO MORE THAN 5 COINS AT A TIME. 20 minutes is all it took before they managed to coin jam BOTH machines. due to excess coins. Women break mach...

Re: Garrow Test Your Muscles identified

Please post a pic of all sides and inside. Really interesting object that.

The patent looks like the coin was used to "engage" the twist mechanism. Trouble is, that could end up bending the coins, so would like to see how that worked.

I'm defo not the expert here, but should there not be an overflow chute running from where that aftermarket blanking plate sits, to the D shaped hole in the floorplate?

Re: Aussie laws gone crazy

I've not heard of anyone being actually busted in WA, but there is plenty of chatter about how careful we have to be.

I saw a speeding infringement notice from Queensland for 61 in a 60 zone the other day, so that's a good hint just how wacked our law makers are (and that was Kilometers per hour!)

Assorted manuals

I thought I posted this, this morning, but it has disappeared. I stumbled upon a website that had a few manuals, and I downloaded 2, for a Jennings Chief (37mb) and a Bally EM. [(33mb) It has a 1938 "Double Bell" on the first page... There was also Bally Broadway and a Sega Periscope PDF's...
