Re: Bit of good news for once from ebay

I had same problem last year and spent an hour pointlessly arguing the toss with eBay so I agree with brigham but if you DO decide to go the "e-people " route this is the link you will need. https://www.gamblingcommission.gov.uk/for-gambling-businesses/Do-I-need-a-licence/Operating-licences/Single-m...

Re: Elephant House Auctions

...the R&W Fill Em Up hitting an incredible £1000 !PUZZLED! Very odd I would have been dancing as a seller... Curiously, treefrog, this is now no longer showing in the results so presume was not sold yet I was there and it definitely hit £1,000 (which was admittedly a mad bid as I had picked up a s...

Re: Elephant House Auctions

Looks like Top Hat did sell for a low £480 That's very odd, Treefrog - I was there and could've sworn it was not sold, but I can see, as you say, that in the EH results it now shows as "sold" and if so, that seems a very low price?. Either I dozed off or someone bought it after the auction, if that...

Re: Elephant House Auctions

Thanks for the info PM - would be tempting to give it a go if it comes up again. I had originally wanted the Charlie Chaplin "catcher" which looked good and seemed to work OK but the mech was jamming against the cabinet so would probably need door re-hanging , which would be quite doable, but when i...

Re: Elephant House Auctions

I noticed the "Rare 'Top Hat' Catcher Machine" didn't sell either. I was there and it looked interesting and in pretty good nick too but I couldn't work out how to get into it to check workings so had to give it a miss. Anyone seen one of these before that knows how it opens?? :!?!: (just in case it...

Re: Allwin de Luxe (reserve ball) stolen

I may be wrong, but you can contact sellers on eBay to ask them questions about the item, so if you did spot what you thought was it, you could maybe ask for example if you could come and see it before buying? Or if eBay don't allow that query, ask some other obscure questions about it like close-up...

Re: Easy Nine allwin

I do have an "Easy 9" which I got a year or so back and is now in full working order (it was a bit distressed!) so be happy to help if any info or pics needed.

Re: My half penny play Payramid

Here's one example (if the pic shows up) that sold at Elephant House Auction in 2016 for £1500.

Re: What bandit to restore?

Had a closer look at the jackpot tubes and as I see it the knob on top payout slide (1), when activated, pushes bar (2) which releases the "brake" (3) and then should also rotate the circular disc (4) under the 2 payout tubes so that holes in the disc move under the payout tubes allowing coins to dr...
