Re: Bryans elevenses
Hi, thank you Bryans Fan, I think you might be right about the coin drop, but the slide is only the width of a 1p. Woodwork is my forte, I stink at metal work. How would I remove the solder from the coin drop? Mei-mei

Bryans Elevenses
Hi guys, would anyone out there have a spare 1d chute and the tube drop for a Bryans Elevenses machine? The one I have here has been converted to a 1p mechanism and I am trying to convert it back. Pics below of the parts that I have for 1p. Thanks a bunch, Mei-mei

Re: Help needed with Sega Windsor Playboy front panel
Hi, there are companies with a flat bed printer that might print the image directly onto the glass. Have no idea about cost, but I had a fortune teller machine where the image had deteriorated so badly that I took a photo of it and had it printed on paper as large as I could. I then repainted all th...

Re: Kicker and catcher machine
Thanks to all of you who replied. I had no idea there were so many versions of the same machine. I particularly like the Art Deco looking case of the earlier machine. Nice touch.

Kicker and catcher machine
Topic merged - Site Admin. Hi you all. Just a quicky, does anyone have a photo of the inside of a kicker catcher machine? On first inspection there seems to be a few unconnected bits inside. My daughter bought this one on Ebay for me but it is not working quite right, the balls continue to get jamm...

Re: Play Nine Holes golf penny game
Well the question of whether to remove the second piece of glass was answered for me tonight when I lifted it up, the extra piece fell off. Perished glue I think. It hasn't made much difference to the paintwork, thank god, just a bit of paint loss at the bottom where most of the damage is anyway. St...

Re: Play Nine Holes golf penny game
Thanks pennymachines, really interesting video. So it is another type of bar top game for more than one player? Just love it - really wish I could find one somewhere. MM

Re: Play Nine Holes golf penny game
Hi coppinpr, with regards to the 'steeple chase' machine. My understanding is that 5 different coloured balls would 'come out of the gate' and the idea was to bet on which colour got to the finish first? Though not really sure how a payout would work on that? Have I misunderstood? MM

Re: Play Nine Holes golf penny game
Thanks guys for a really interesting piece of history. I too love the trade stimulators and the simpler style of English machines for their simplicity and variety. MM

Re: Play Nine Holes golf penny game
Hi, coppinpr, I don't believe you were around in the 1930s! So were all trade 'stimulators' (sorry typo) made in the US then? or did we make some here? If so what did they look like? MM

Re: Play Nine Holes golf penny game
Hi, further to my last email. I am fortunate to have an old peddle driven fret saw and as it has a very fine blade, it should be easy enough to cut a plastic track for the penny. I am excited at the thought of getting started over the weekend. MM

Re: Play Nine Holes golf penny game
Hi, "Protected Registered British Design Nos. 837474 & 337774 - U.S.A. Registered Design No. D 8?243 Modele Deposé. FOR AMUSEMENT ONLY MFD. BY BCM/MMMM LONDON.W.C.1". I did wonder if it was a type of trade simulator as there seems to be no other payout when you win. I just love the loo...

Re: Play Nine Holes golf penny game
Thanks Bryans fan, Wow I wish mine was in as good a condition. I guess they made these over a long period of time. Anyone know when they first started making this type of machine? MM

Re: Play Nine Holes golf penny game
Thanks coppinpr, it is great to be able to chew these problems over with someone else. Using fret sawn wood for the track could work as the machine shouldn't get a great deal of use, so wear and tear would not be an issue. I still think I could give the right angled plastic a try, it would be easy e...

Re: Play Nine Holes golf penny game
Hi, thanks guys, all useful info. Problem with keeping the original track is that it will result in many gaps and possible trip up points for the penny to negotiate. Plus the fact that the track is so brittle, I'm not sure it will stand me drilling through it. I think that pennymachines is correct a...

Re: Play Nine Holes golf penny game
Hi pennymachines. Looks in this case are absolutely deceiving! As you can see from the pic I have cleared all the debris away and given it a first sanding. The track is 'broken' in many places and when I gave it the wiggle test, several of the pieces were found to be held in position by one secured ...
