Re: Rotating escalator Aristocrat Tic Tac Toe

Now there's only two problems left to solve. 😀 1. Could not find an original rotating escalator so I had to buy a plastic replica which leaves a gap behind so the coin just drops right through. As the Parts are 3D printed ... that should be a simple fix, the PLA plastic melts at around 150 deg C, s...

Re: Hawtins Juke boxes

Yes, I'm totally unsure what happened to the Mk2s that ended up in Germany... The only reason I believe they may have come back is that I understand that they were never actually sold. They were sited on a rental basis, and Norman Ditchburn would not sell machines when removed from site, as they cou...

Re: Hawtins Juke boxes

Hi Coppinpr, In 1947 Geoffrey Norman Ditchburn bought the whole jukebox business from Hawtins, as the Hawtin Brothers wanted to get out of the Amusement machine business (and into the Dental business). When Frank Hawtin sold it to GND part of the agreement (according to the accounts documents) was D...

Re: Hawtins Juke boxes

Yes, the history of Hawtins and Ditchburn was very muddled in the early years, mainly due to lack of records after the war, but last year the Ditchburn Project spent over £1500 to acquire the original accounts, finances and company details of the Ditchburn Organisation right from the very beginning ...

Re: Bally one armed bandit help

Hi Richard
I use a small adjustable spanner to tweak these sort of things. You can close the spanner up on the thin plate and bend in the direction you need to go... Should be an easy fix buddy.

Re: Vending machine advice

A Ditchburn thread would be welcome. I remember the 'automat' cafeterias in London as a small child, during our Motor Show trips. Wow! So much like the Jetsons. Did Ditchburn make the huge, much missed Milk machines? The triple vendor in the original post is familiar; the ASPRO section was seen in ...
