Re: Now here is a 1d coin slot you couldn't miss

YOUTUBE VIDEO Thanks PM ... that video is fantastic, never seen this before. A great video and a slice of History on the Chocolate History of Norwich ... which I am still part of today. I was originally from Norwich and have worked for the last 30 years for a Norwich based company that produced the...

Re: Spicers Auction 24.11.2023

As Treefrog noted regarding the Jennings... some of the dates don't add up. The Triple Conveyor seems to have very modern parts inside and a modern motor ... very likely a repro. The Disney automata I think could be later than the 1930s described, especially with a TV studio scene. Research required...

Re: Vintage Slots in Films and Newsreels

Not a slot but coin-operated nevertheless: My 1960s Ditchburn Coffee machine left the museum late last year for a 3 month trip down to Pinewood Studios in London. It was used in the making of Series 2 of Marvel Studios LOKI. I thought it was just being used in the background but it appears to have s...

Re: Machine ID

After all these years... I still don't get the German pay-out philosophy. When does an orange apple and bell denote a big win and showing in the photo above is 2 cherries on the win line and there are no cherry wins whatsoever on the pay table. Maybe it makes people not expect 3 of the same symbols ...

Re: WIN/LOST Allwin

My Theory... (just to add to the many already here) is that the words actually describe the ball... When the ball goes into the losing hole it is lost and if it goes into the Win hole it's a win, but you have not actually won until you turn the knob to receive the prize. Just my 1d worth... Do I win...

Re: Aristocrat Deluxe 22 Payout slides and guide

Hi John As treefrog mentioned each slide needs the corresponding lever. The guide and top slot is low compared to the position of the top slide. My guess is they will need to be bent up to reach the top coin slide. Based on the payout, I believe you need to have something that resembles below: slide...

Re: another warm sunny day...inside the Bandit

Fantastic Work ... well done Does anyone know why the German wall machines did not have logical win combinations like the US bandits? For example... on Coppinpr's great artwork... there are no wins for 3 of a kind fruits. Even the wall machines that used numbers were still strange combinations. All ...

Re: How many sixpences does a Jennings hold before coins drop into cashbox

Hi Alan
What a work of art... not a grease stain in sight... an amazing beautiful cabinet.
Well done.. I love it when a Jennings shines.

Never thought about how many coins in the jackpot... but your observation is far more than I ever thought.

Many Thanks PM for that last set of clips you posted ... You have found me a clip of my 1960s Ditchburn coffee machine in action .... something I have trawled the internet for years looking for, and have never found. The clip in the film "Scotland at Six: Vending Machines 1963" - starts wi...

Re: Bally one arm bandit

Hi 07smig Looking at the front door, there is a pay-out solenoid for the 25p token award but the actual coin chute from the coin acceptor looks like it should feed a hopper and it is the hopper that I believe is missing from the bottom of the cabinet, although the hopper would normally go where the ...
