Re: Story of Britain's 'jukebox revolution' preserved
Hi PM It's blooming confusing isnt it? :D ...I spent over an hour yesterday with online "then and now" $ & £ currency converters. So let's break this down (I think this is my OCD kicking in :D ). The £237 quoted in the show was supposed to have came from this Jack Hylton article from 1946, but this a ...

Re: Story of Britain's 'jukebox revolution' preserved
Hi Slotalot I was surprised as well... We filmed the segment from 10am to around 1pm and a lot was discussed about the Jack Hylton / Hawtins history in the original recorded interview, but alas the editors cut the segment down to 2 mins 57 seconds. It ended up very short and sweet... I'm guessing ...

Re: Story of Britain's 'jukebox revolution' preserved

Re: Billboard Magazine English Coinmen Series
Thanks PM for these "interesting" articles although I have read these before, whilst researching Billboard on Hawtins and Ditchburn Jukeboxes It amazes me how, just like today what you see on the internet is not always true ... this was also the case with the 1940s internet, (aka newspapers) :D ...

Re: Story of Britain's 'jukebox revolution' preserved
Hi PM and All I have been involved with this over the last year or so, and it has been great fun. It's been a wonderful experience talking to all the people about their jukebox experiences. It has also highlighted that I will be opening the Ditchburn Jukebox Museum in Lytham St Annes, next May (2025 ...

Re: getting metal parts made for allwins
Thanks for the info on this Paul I currently have a Hawtins Allwin that I'm putting on display in the Ditchburn Jukebox Museum that needs a few bits to finish it off. I need the plate that goes over the Lock and cabinet edge, but is shaped with a curve to fit over the edge trim These were very ...

Re: Now here is a 1d coin slot you couldn't miss
YOUTUBE VIDEO Thanks PM ... that video is fantastic, never seen this before. A great video and a slice of History on the Chocolate History of Norwich ... which I am still part of today. I was originally from Norwich and have worked for the last 30 years for a Norwich based company that produced the ...
